Meligot?

I realise this is a little weird coming from me, but shouldn't Miranda and Finn be back by now? Miranda's world was supposed to be pretty calm.

Harper? Meligot? 'Mandias?

Um, and other people who are able to transport who I've not met because they showed up after I tragically disappeared left?

I think I'm ready to come home back, now.

The chirping golden draconic creature on my shoulder needs to come with.

26 May 2006 @ 06:49 pm
Meligot or Harper, or Kai, whoever is awake and has the ability to transport me. I need you to lock onto Marcus's handheld and get me there now.

[private, rick_addison]
I have to go, chere, there's been some sort of magical accident. Marcus, his uncles, Adrien and Evan are in hospital, and Aerin and Ezra need someone there so they're not dealing with it all on their own. I'll keep in touch.

Je t'adore, ma chere, toujours.

Theirn?

I don't -- Evan did something, they're all unconscious, I --

Help?

I don't know what to do, and one of Marcus' friends showed up and I don't -- he took them to the hospital in the city, and and I was worried about Evan and I faked adoption papers but I forgot about Adrien and I'm not certain yet, because they haven't said and I can barely find Evan and I can't, I can't keep looking at everyone else, but I don't know.

I can't tell if they've recognized him.

And Michael and Richard and Adrien and Marcus and Evan and I just.

I can't --

Help?

...well, this is vaguely familiar.

Someone please tell the nice diplomats that I do not, actually, want to enter a lovely diplomatic marriage with the Imperial Prince of Yugoslavia. They're not taking my word for it, and I don't wear white.

Um.

If anyone's handheld starts, um, talking to them in Tagalog or, um, Belgian, um. Patch is here.

Nimohuv?

I think I've finally had enough of this place.

System, I don't understand.

Sister-novitiate Isabel gave you to me when she joined, and I gave you a patternname like you asked, but I need you to explain what you mean by "&&reest+base+conta&&", because Isabel can't.

Co-ordinates for this world are 264-8473-549a. The agents assigned here were Alexandra Hanovan, Nathan Langford and Erika Lui. All three are dead, and this is no longer a viable world for diplomatic relations.

... I hadn't touched this in a little over two turns years, or so it seems, I'd given up.

And then I heard this little, single, solitary 'beep.'

Nobody else had any idea what it was, of course, because they don't have handheld computers here, and it wasn't any kind of animal, though plenty of people thought it might have been a mutated tunnelsnake.

Apparently, though, it's you guys.

Someone fixed the broadwave connections!

[edit%22:56:02] Okay, so maybe it wasn't actually hearing, so much as just ... thinking I was hearing, but it is on, and I hope that the vibrations really were connections and that it wasn't just Dipstick making me think that she heard something. [/edit]

Mel. Hate to ask, but we need a favour. ASAP, if you can.

Our stuff, should be in storage or our apartment. There's a photo album, a toy eagle, a blown-glass chimera in a wooden box, and a pair of black silk gloves.

Can you have someone bring them here?

We wouldn't ask, but it's sort of urgent. We've got another two weeks before we can wrap up here, and we're losing the borders.

We've been like this five months comatose, and another month awake, and...

We don't know, Mel.

You ever seen those photographs that've been taken with a long exposure? Minutes or hours, depending. You get a blurred image, nothing clear. You can tell what's meant to be there, but there're no details.

We're losing the details, Mel.

Signing off for now. We need to work on strategy for the rest of the week. Talks are almost over. Jen's composing a report while I do the diplomatic stuff. Upside of this whole thing, multitasking's made easy. Lots of work to do.

Keep the home fires burning, yeah? And try to send that stuff if you can.

Lucas out.

Attempt ... no idea what number this is. I think I stopped counting when winter ended. Let's see if this works, though.

Anyone around?

-- oh, oh, oh, it's swelling, maybe this one'll work after all.

(Charlie insists I amuse him, so I pose a public question.)

If you were sentenced to execution for any crime, but the sentencer let you choose your own way of dying, which way would you choose?

I know what I'd say, but that would be telling.

O great and wise sages of the multiverse THEY, I have a Very Important Question.

(Meligot, are you the sage with the waist-length beard and a cat, or the sage with the Talking Stick?)

What is a good name for a ceremonial elephant?

la, so this would be the forty-second login attempt, or rather, forty-second time i've set up the script. running attempts != logged; the memory unit on this computer wouldn't cope, and it's probably not *really* forty-two anyway, but it's a good enough number for a message where i'm really just talking to myself.

i've tried switching it off and on again and it's definitely plugged in.

(i could've just set up a lot of quotes for this whole message file; maybe i *will* try again, just for that. or the star wars "pants" lines. "i find your lack of pants disturbing" makes everything better.)
