New Rule!:
There is to be no pimping of rating communities or any of their equally lame derivatives in this community. Mostly any other kind of NJ/lesbian-related communities are fine to be promoted here, but as for rating communities, that's what![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
community_promo is for.
I think this is the first rule I have ever made since I started this community, so please respect it.
04/09/05: Community membership is still open, but this community is now moderated. I see things slip through here and there that really don't belong here, so I'm now setting it up so that all pending posts have to go through me first. In the meantime, if you're not sure something is okay to post here, email me at ohohohjamiescryin at gmail dot com OR catch me on AIM at skeletonsarefine.
I'm very fair and there isn't much I won't let through. I'm not here to censor you, but I like to make sure everything here is relevant. If for any reason I deny a post, I will definitely tell you why. You can always make the needed adjustments and then resubmit it.

****Rule #2: All promotions for events -- dances, mixers, fundraisers, contests, etc. -- must go through me first. Today for the first time ever I banned a user here for abusing this community to promote her sponsored events while never posting anything else of any kind to break it up. I have no problem letting members promote events here, but I want to make damn good and sure that's not all someone does here.
Therefore, before you even submit an entry into the queue about just such an event, you MUST CONTACT ME DIRECTLY FIRST. You may contact me via AIM/AOL Instant Messenger, or via e-mail. Both are listed in the community info.
The purpose of this is to discourage those who would abuse the community -- they probably wouldn't want to do so much work. For those of you who promote events and still post other content here, thank you for that. This shouldn't end up a problem for you, because as long as I see that you're doing other things in the community, I probably won't have any problem putting your promotions through.
If you should happen to forget to contact me first, you will be given a reminder. If you forget again, you'll be given a warning. If you forget (or ignore) this process a third time, you will be banned. Fair, and simple.
Sorry to complicate things, kids, but I don't like event-pimpage-only posts any more than I like rating-community-pimping.
