01. You must be a member to participate/vote.
02. Absolutely no animation allowed in your icon.
03. We rather you not to avoid drama, but if you must use fanart/doujinshi, please include the name of the artist and the link to the fanart or site of where you got it from in your submission. Credential purposes.
04. Relate to the theme.
05. Icons must meet LJ standards. (100x100max, 40kbmax, .jpeg, .png, .gif)
06. Icons must be made fresh for the each theme/challenge.
07. You may submit up to 2 icons.
08. Do not advertise/display your icon anywhere until the results are posted. It must remain anonymous until it's over.
09. Do not submit someone else's icon and claim it as your own.
10. Please ask the iconist for permission first if you want to use their icon.
11. When voting, do not vote for your own icon.
12. Respect each and every one in this community. Maintainers, moderators, bannermakers and members alike. No bashing, flaming, etc.
13. Have fun.



Schedules vary depending on the moderator's availability. Some may post it a little early, some a little late. The person posting usually states what time things are due on the post. But generally speaking;

Challenge post: Sunday evening.
Submission: Monday to Friday midnight.
Voting: Saturday morning.
Winner Results: Sunday Evening.



As stated, you may submit up to 2 icons, and submiting times may vary. You may very well submit as soon as the theme/challenge has been posted until the stated due date.

When submitting an entry, please include the following: the icon, the url, theme (If there's multiple themes or asked).

Winners are determined through voting. It is usually posted Saturday morning, and you may submit your votes until Sunday evening.

Again, when voting, please do not vote for your own. If you truly think it is the best, people would vote for it, but that doesn't mean you can convince people to vote for you. We all expect the voters to vote properly. Please base your votes on the quality of the icon, not on characters or the user who made it (sometimes it's easy to guess). You should be voting for your favourite or the obviously prettiest icon, if it's the other way around, then I must assume you are high / intoxicated / on drugs. <---(Note from other Mods and Maintainers: That last part was kookyz XD)

Depending on how many icons we recieve, we will determine and specify how many places you could vote for. Most of the time, it's usually 1st, 2nd, 3rd, SC and Mod's Choice. Each week there would be a Special Category, consisting of:

Best Cropped: Icons that are well cropped and have excellent use of space.
Best Interpretation: Icons that best interpret the theme.
Most Creative: Icons that are most original and unique.
Best Emotion: Icons that convey the most emotion.
Best Colour: Icons you feel depicts a unique style of using colours.
Best Typography (Text): Icons who have the best caption or best use of fonts.
*There will also be a Mod's choice. The moderator's favourtie non-winning icon.

When submitting your vote, do not vote for an icon twice unless it concerns the Special Category, and please list your votes in order of preference.

1st: #3
2nd: #7
3rd: #1
SC: #2 (put the name of the category given that week)



What exactly do you get when you win? Uh... according to squishyorb: a thumbs up, bragging rights, ego boost, iconing rep, and of course, a banner you can show off to people.
