Here’s one for my U.S. readers! If you were hoping for a lavish New York or L.A. premiere for The Twilight Saga: New Moon then you’ll have to think again because the Premiere is headed for Knoxville!

The sequel to the 2008 mega-hit “Twilight”, which stars Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart will premiere at Regal Cinemas’ Pinnacle 18 at Turkey Creek, prior to the films 20th November U.S. release date.

While the location has been finalised, details of the event are still to be decided, including ticket prices, dates and just which stars will attend the event:

“I’m hoping to have the details pinned down within 30 to 60 days,” said Greg Dunn, chief operating officer of Regal Entertainment Group.

Regal has annually hosted star studded premieres at the venue since 2003, all in aid of Variety - The Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee. Stars who have previously graced the location include Brendan Fraser, Jessica Alba, Will Ferrell and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Regardless as to who attends the “New Moon” premiere, organisers are already describing it at “the biggest event to date”.

You Twilighters spoke with your mouse clicks a few weeks ago when you made the “New Moon” trailer premiere during the 2009 MTV Movie Awards a record-setting traffic draw. With 10.6 million streams in the first 24 hours… well… all I really could and can say is WOW.

So I’m guessing this latest bit of news is going to be equally exciting. The word on the “Twilight” fan ‘nets is that the NEXT “New Moon” trailer will premiere in front of “Bandslam,” which hits theaters on August 14. To say Ms. Reed was hardly thrilled to learn of anything going on between Kristen and Rob is an understatement. I think N.R. is being the über-crafty babe she is and staying out of the limelight for good reason right now. But expect to see her revenge-flirting all over Vancouver next month.
