Both the moderators of this community have other things to do outside LJ, and your application will be looked at in due time. If you apply for membership more than once within a week we will assume that since you have not read this rule you have not read any others and will not abide by the community guidelines. We will reject your application on principle if you ignore this.

Due to a recent rise in sockpuppet and scamming journals Niceboots is now moderated membership. For security we will check all membership applications before granting posting access. If your application is denied it could be for one or more of the following reasons:
You have previously been banned.
Your journal is brand new with no public entries.
You have no friends listed.
There are no external links to sites confirming your identity (myspace, personal URLS etc)
You only have sellng communities listed and no real people on your friends list.
You have ignored the above duplicate requests rule.

If your membership is denied and you would like us to reconsider you, a refferal from an existing member in good standing is usually required.

The first rule of niceboots is that posting links to ebay (or other auction sites) is not allowed. Your post will be deleted.

You should check the rules yourself first, but the following communities DO, as far as we know, allow listing of ebay auctions: gothicauctions, gothmart, thriftstoreuk & uk_ebay_goffs or browse the list of all communities who list 'ebay' as an interest.

A good description of the item(s) you are offering
Don't forget to include things like size, measurements and condition.

Payment details
Specify the price and whether that is a set price or whether you will negotiate, want people to make you an offer or whether you will accept a trade. You will also need to say what Postage & packing will be and what your preferred method of payment is - Cash, PayPal,NOCHEX, Personal Cheque or Bank transfer.

Pictures, long posts and LJ-cuts
You can post one image (no larger than 500x500 and not larger than 100k) without a cut, but larger or subsequent pictures must go under a LJ-cut tag. Please also use cut tags for large amounts of text. If you do not know how to use LJ-cut tags, read the FAQ. Please ensure you have a basic description of the items for sale (including sizing if relevant) either above the cut or as the text of the cut tag.

Tags
Tags are keywords used for organising posts. As members you cannot create new tags, but you can use the 'Edit tags' link to modify the tags on any post in the community (read FAQ). If you would like to suggest new tags, email the moderators using the email address above. When creating a new post, use tags where you can. Separate multiple tags with commas, for example: clubwear, medium, skirts (short)

International members
This is a UK oriented community. Non-UK members are very welcome, but all items must be able to be shipped to the UK. Sizes and currency should be British wherever possible, but if they are not then please state what sizing system is being used.

Reposts
You may only repost items two weeks after making the original post. All subsequent reposts must be behind a cut and labelled as reposts. You may post a link/URL to your reposts within the two weeks, but the link must be clearly labelled as 'reposts', and the URL may not be posted on its own - it must be within a post of items.

Multiple Entries
Do not post more than once within 48 hours, OR if you have an entry which is still on the community front page. Any new items should be kept until after 48 hours or added to an existing post. Multiple entries from one user are unfair to other sellers and waste space on members friends pages.

Selling Journals
Linking to relevant sales on 'selling journals' is OK, but please do not spam the community with random links to your selling journals. When linking to selling journals/posts on selling journals, please include a description of the items you are linking to.

Non-selling posts
Please join nicebootschat if you wish and use it for 'wants' and other discussion posts.

Proof of Postage
Always obtain Proof of Postage when posting items sufficient for refunds if necessary.

Personal Details
Please do not post personal details (address, name, bank details, etc) of either yourself or a 3rd party in posts or an unscreened comment.
