I'm a (Facebook) fan of the Seahawks, and their page reads as follows:
Non-divisional 2010 opponents are in. Home: Atl, Car, KC, SD, and a NFC East team TBA. Away: NO, TB, Den, Oak, and a NFC North team TBA.
Can't find anything about it on nfl.com but it looks like the new rotation has been determined.

Welcome to this week's power rankings, where we believe that the French are cheating cunts.
I've been in Letterkenny (further north than most of you will ever be in your entire lives), working outside in the cold and the rain for the past week, which is why the power rankings are late and I haven't made much comment about the idiotic decision to pull Edwards for Failpatrick or the resultant sacking of Jauron, or the fact that the Bills have quietly nicked Brian Brohm off the Packers' PS, or Jairus Byrd getting yet another INT...
Basically, addressing each of those points in order, Edwards was keeping us competitive in that game, Failpatrick then went and handed it to the Titans, only the Bills would wait until the week after the bye to axe the HC, Brian Brohm was a good college QB, obviously he hasn't made the step up to the bigs if he was on the Packers PS, but he's still probably better than Fitzy and Byrd's closing in on Night Train.

Oakland finally beaches JaMarcus "Shamu" Russell for Bruce Gradkowski.
Yes. THAT Bruce Gradkowski. Formerly of the Tampa Bay Bucs and Cleveland Browns. He of the career 9-15 TD-INT ratio and 58.7 QB Rating.
Considering how big of a fan of Russell Al Davis is, Cable is just begging Davis to fire him. I swear he is.

So, there's this page linked from NFL UK, which is a sort of "Which team should you root for?" for people new to the NFL. (Oh, those Brits!)
Anyway, it's kinda fun for those of us who already have a team since birth to find out who we're, I guess, supposed to have been rooting for all this time:
http://www.nfl-360.com/pick-team
There's three paths, which will return three different answers. (The middle one is random, but who cares?)
For the record, I got:
Packers (alright)
Giants (okay)
Ravens (blech!)

Coach of the Year might be Eric Mangini

I know what I am saying here is a bit taboo, the guy has a poor record over the past 5 years
up and down like a roller coaster, however in spite of this, I argue these fine points.
1. Almost all of the Browns roster for 2009 is composed of players Mangini has not worked with before, 51 to be exact (Brett Ratliff). Tough to gel a unit by acquiring free agents when the team you were hired to coach is the Cleveland Browns, a team so laughably bad that the only memorable moments in the team's history are getting beaten by John Elway and moving to Baltimore and becoming a good team. Considering what he's been working with, it's a miracle that they have been within two scores in over HALF their games. That's just good coaching.
2. Wow, only six rookies? With an obvious lack of fresh young players, it's easy to notice that the team is not performing to par with other franchises that have more rookies (like the Jaguars, for one). Imagine if the Browns had 15 Matt Ryans instead of just six. They would be unstoppable. Since Romeo Crennel didn't use then rookie Brady "And now, I'M DONE" Quinn extensively, his talent will definitely never be used correctly. There's nothing Mangenius (or anyone else) can do to fix this.
3. They were winners at one point this year. Yes, I know it was against the Toronto Bills and that it was just because of a blunder by the special teams unit of the Bills, but the fact that they were able to pull off a win with their starting QB going 2 for 17 (12% completion rate) speaks how good this coaching staff, specifically Eric Mangini, really is. Chances are Mangini will carry the rest of the team on his back like he did with the Jest and bring them to a respectable 7-9 or 8-8 record. Anything near .500 winning percentage is good coaching, I would say.
4. He has coached playoff contenders before with the Jest. The first year coaching, he led them to a playoff birth with limp-arm Pennington (who obviously can't win without Mangini) and a bunch of no-names (no Brett Favre that year!). Two years later, he led his team right back into PLAYOFF contention, where they were officially eliminated on the last day of the season in a historic collapse. It speaks volumes when a coach can single-handedly take a team to brink of the playoffs.
5. Brett Favre. Yes, he only coached him for a year and they failed to make the playoffs, but he COACHED BRETT FAVRE. Any person that Brett Favre addresses as "coach" should not only be treated as "coach of the century", but as a deity. Not to mention BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE BRETT FAVRE.
6. Nickname. Anyone who's given the nickname "Mangenius" is obviously right for any job. Imagine how different America would be if George W. Bush had the nickname "George the Genius". I think we would have been trying to get an amendment that allows a president to become elected into office more than twice. Mangini's a genius, plain and simple. If the media gives you such a nickname it MUST be true. The media never lies, ever. It shows that Eric Mangini has the capabilities to run an NFL franchise.
Now I know it's not the trendy pick for coach of the year (Dick Vermeil of the Rams)
and normally this goes to the team with the best record (Don Shula of the Dolphins or Tony Dungy of the Colts)or the feel good story of the year (Joe Gibbs of the Redskins) but given the circumstance who would you vote for?

First two bizarre snippets we've seen posted yesterday... then these two articles:
If losing Josh Cribbs like this article says "dodging a bullet" where's the clause after it saying "while a nuclear bomb drops on top of you?"
I kind of hoped that the title was ironic, but no, apparently ten years of mediocre coaching is too soon to fire Dick Jauron
It is getting painfully clear that last week was one of the stupidest weeks in NFL history.

up and down like a roller coaster, however in spite of this,I argue these fine points.
1.More than half of the Jaguars roster is new in 2009, 28 players to be exact. Tough to gel a unit with the constant comings and going via freeagency the Jags have expierence last three years anyway this year just proves how coaching and the playbook has to be apparent because otherwise the game speed will kill a team. With the exception of two complete blowout games (Titans and Seahwks) these Jags have held up in competive gameplay and that's what coaches do
is get them ready.
2. Wow a NFL-high 13 rookies. The Jaguars selected nine players in the draft, added two undrafted free agents and signed two rookies early in the season that were drafted by other teams. Playing w/ your draft picks is impressive enough but now you got other teams picks making an impression for you. For the coaching staff to start all these guys there rookie year
without a doubt has to give shed some light on the future of this organization. With fresh team and a keen coaching staff to spot talent this team may be on the rise.
3. Winners of 3 of the last 4. Perhaps this should of been the first point, when you win all
problems tend to go away and to do it with convictions with the new people, and the rookies, and especially the talent they got is a bit astounding. Let's not crown them just yet but 5-4 is pretty good coaching I would say.
4. Playoff contenders. Yes it might happened look at the recent playoff tree and it is still possible this late in the season they could go on a playoff run. Now before we get too deep into this there are some strong teams this year (Colts, Patriots, Bengals, Chargers or Broncos
Steelers/Ravens) but the Jags sit right in there. If there is any grounds to the above mention
I guess the game against the Steelers may be worth looking into.
5. Guts. The guy played MLB for the Vikings when they had a good team he knows what it takes to get the job done newbys, the rooks, and the choas of this team in general and look what they have done at the very least give this guy a honorable mention.
Now I know it's not the trendy pick for coach of the year (Josh Mcdaniels of the Broncos)
and normally this goes to the team with the best record (Jim Haslett of the Saints or Jim Caldwell of the Colts)or the feel good story of the year (Marvin Lewis of the Bengals) but given the circumstance who would you vote for?

Easiest NFC schedule: Minnesota
