Sorry to post again so soon (it kind of makes me feel like a flooder), but I was asked to explain why my OTP is Javid, but I think Sprace is the best. I would have put it in a comment, but it'll probably be pretty long.
It's pretty easy to explain why Javid is my OTP--I mean, just watch the movie. From the very moment they meet to the very end of the movie, Jack and David are so obviously into each other. When Jack runs into David at the beginning, it's kind of epic to any Javid shipper (or, at least, to me). Maybe I'm crazy, but I think that look David gives Jack reeks a little bit of "you little bugger, you're not done with me." And, oh, no--he's not. Couple or not, from his hero-worshipping little brother to his selling partners (partners) deal, David's stuck with Jack. At this point I need to say forgive me if my facts are slightly wonky or if things come out of order, as I've not seen the movie in... *cough*twodays*cough* a very long time. But back to Javid--well, I can sum it up pretty fast: If there's any question in your mind by the tie pull, the balcony scene (oohhh, putting it that way makes it sound even more R&J-esque than it is), or the trolley strike hug... you've gotta be missing something. Besides, Jack's so charismatic, who's not at least a little bit gay for him?
Then Sprace... well, it's just plain amazing. I've always liked Sprace as a pairing, and when I read Everything You've Done Wrong last summer, it pretty much solidified Sprace as my would-be OTP... but I just couldn't let it overtake Javid as OTP because Javid has so much logic and so much proof and so much reality. To me, there is no way to dispute that Jack and David are a couple, and I have major issues with pairing Jack or David with anybody else (with the exception of DavidxDenton). I can make Jack fool around with other people, because, like I said earlier, everybody's gotta be at least a little bit gay for Jack, but he can't be an actual couple with anyone else. When it comes down to it, I can pair Spot and Race with other people (especially Spot)... it's just never quite on par with Sprace.
So, um... I hope that makes sense and answers your question, and I hope it's not too long. If I should put any of it under a cut, let me know and I'll fix that...
