| About: | This community is for all writers new to slash/yaoi. Yaoi is, basically, a Japanese acronym denoting male-male relationships, usually with heavy doses of sex. It can vary by ratings (usually R – NC-17) and all manners of kinks (bondage/submission, incest, etc..) Shounen-ai (literally translating into boy-love), however, is it’s lighter fluffy counterpart. It’s usually little to no sex, focusing more on the romance aspects of the relationship (G – PG). Slash is the western equivalent for both. Still here? Good. The moderators of this community are currently This community is not fandom-specific, so all fandoms are welcome. We just ask that when you ask questions, or you post a fanfiction piece for someone to read, make sure you label the fandom. We plan to archive all fiction pieces in the memories, so if anyone wants to go back and find something, they can do so easily. Another way to make archiving a little easier is to add a title to your post. ——— By the way, introductory posts are welcome, but we would prefer if you also had a fanfiction to add to the community. When adding fanfiction, you must label it with the following: Title: Author: Fandom/Pairing: Warnings: Okay, so it doesn’t have to look exactly like that, or be in that exactly order, and sure you can add Author’s Notes: under it or something. That’s just a basic guideline that one should follow, so everyone can be happy and not stumble onto a fandom/pairing they don’t want to read, or don’t know about. In essence, it must be labeled. For the body of your fanfic, put it behind an LJ-cut. The code for LJ-cuts are < lj-cut text="insert something witty here" > put fanfiction body here < /lj-cut >. Just do that, without the spaces between the angles, and you’re set. ——— A few general rules: - Comments/reviews are good (even if they be the incoherent ones that say 'GAH loved this!!!11oneone!! *die*'). Constructive criticism is even better, if not the best. Flaming, character, and/or author bashing is, and will not be tolerated. - No off-topic posts. Those would be posts that have nothing to do with posting your work, looking for a spell-checker/beta for your work, or asking about the improvement of writing skills. That’s pretty loose however, and is subject to change. (laughs at self) … That really sounded like one of those commercials or something. Hmm… that’s about it. If we remember anymore things that should be mentioned, it’ll be here. --- Sister Communities | |
