Title: Taking on Evolution and Memories

Hey fellow Westerfeld fans!
I've been working on an RPG board specifically for the Uglies Trilogy and Extras, and I've finally finished it! So if anyone's interested, please come and register because it really is an awesome board. Canons are allowed, and I've got a list of them plus anymore that you'd want to play. We're roleplaying all four books: Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras.

Hi, I'm new to the community and I just recently finished Uglies, Preties, and Specials and started Extras today (they are amazing!!)..anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out a bit...I was going to make a whole bunch of icons based on the books and I was going to put some of quotes...does anyone have any favorite quotes from the book I could make into icons? I would greatly appriciate anything you can give me! :) Thanks sooo much!!

The Mind Rain
The Mind Rain was started by Tally Youngblood. Special Circumstances has crumbled. The divide between New Pretty Town, Uglytown, and Crumblyville does not exist anymore. Anyone can live anywhere. The surges that were once only for the sixteen year olds can now be used on anyone. In fact, many people both young and old have surges.
But life isn't as perfect as it seems.
A new regime is starting to gain power just as the world finds peace and bubbliness in just being who they are.

I am doing a paper for college..a 5 pager thats due tommorow-the first draft anyways-and I wanted to include the uglies trilogy in my paper.
I was wondering if there were any expamples of abuse of power-or the showing of power in the series. I haven't read Extras yet..so thats out.
I can only think of Dr. Cable..and her crazy dictator ways.

I'm new here, and have just discovered the Uglies trilogy, and I love it. I'm 22 and have no shame in reading teen books. =D Anyway, I'm almost halfway through Specials, and I can't wait to see what happens!!! Agggh! It makes me all bubbly. ^_~
I have a question though - I saw on amazon.com there's a book called Extras. What is that exactly? Is that part of the Uglies series? I thought it was just a trilogy?

Hey, I'm a new reader of Scott Westerfeld's Uglies trilogy, but I love it! I'm so happy to find a community dedicated to these awesome works.
And since I don't have much else to say other than that, here's an icon I made. There's going to be a whole batch soon, when I get the time to properly work on them.
