kate spade
So I think I'd like to live in Kate Spade's magazine ads. I wouldn't mind being surrounded by gorgeous colors & books all the time.





















(That's my favorite one.)















So on a somewhat related note, where do you all get your tights from? Target just doesn't have as nice a selection this year as they have in the past.

i looooove kate spade and her ads. i did a huge project on her in college.
i get all my tights from marshalls. they have the really nice wool and cable knit ones for cheappp

it was for a product development class so i had to describe what her current product line and advertising and develop a new set of products and advertising for them. it was really fun!

those ads are so pretty.

anyway, i found a big bag of my mum's old tights so i have awesome purple and navy tights and even a pair of sparkley nude ones.

BUT that didn't satisfy my thirst for more tights so i went to the states, to sears and bought the most opaque black pair i could find. then i went to a small mall and found an express and i was really impressed with their selection. i bought some fairly dark charcoal grey stirrup-style tights and some sparkley black ones! they were kinda pricey though, i think two pairs cost me over $35 USD. but american was so chea to buy two weeks ago that i wasn't too bothered with it.

i've never bought anything from them (i'm one of those people who wears nothing but jeans) but i've heard a lot of good things about we love colors for plain colored tights.

their boutique in soho, new york is, of course, the physical manifestation of those print ads. its wonderful; everything is so well-crafted and delicate. and the sales associates are well-mannered and kind! whenever i am in new york, i always pop in.

I got pretty much all my tights from American Apparel. They come in a bazillion colors and they're good quality and have a pleasing amount of opacity, but, of course, they run miiiighty small.

Funny you should mention tights from Target -- I can't tell you how many compliments I got on mine yesterday. And they, too, were from last year!

Yeah, last year was pretty good, but this year... not so much. I don't need any black tights as I have two different Betsey Johnson black tights, so Target is virtually no help this year.

I have been doing an illustration in my my free time in illustrator and photoshop based on the ad with the piles of books and the feet standing on them because I loved that ad so much!

I get all my tights at Macy's/Nordstrom. I like Hue and DKNY, which I think they sell at both stores. They're a bit pricy, usually running between $12-18 a pair, but the tights I buy elsewhere get runs and holes within like 3 wears so I stick to the thicker sweater tights I can buy there which last me a while.

i've always liked Hue, DKNY, and Anne Klein for tights. I want to escape to Switzerland... maybe not as a Nazi war criminal though (guessing by the dude on back cover). Kate Spade shoes are meh but cool ads.
