Aboutrules simplified:
*post images containing nudity only if ink or piercings are on said nude area. if your nipples are pierced, great. but if you're showing us your tongue ring, we don't need to see your tits too.
*although you will be posting pics behind an LJ cut, it would still be very smart to also warn ahead of time whether the image is work safe or not.
*if you click on an LJ cut and it's not work safe, nor was it titled as such, i don't want to hear any bitching. if you are at work, and your boss sees you looking at boobies or hoo-ha's, that's your own fucking problem. maybe you should be doing work at work, not surfing Livejournal.
*all members are to be treated with respect. unless they prove themselves to be complete fuckin morons. then feel free to set them in their place. just no death threats please :)
*please make any suggestions you might have in reference to this community, whether it be layout, rules, whatever. this isn't a paid account, so i'll be making it as appealing to the eye as possible, when it comes to the layout, but i can't do anything too lavish. nor do i think i want to.
*if there's anything you want me to add to "Interests", let me know.
*if there are any websites of shops, artists, etc that you'd like me to add to the links list, let me know.
*if you fuck up, whether something minor, like not following guidelines, or something major, like posting non-work-friendly images without using LJ cuts, you will be given three chances. strike three, you're out, and you get reported for being a severe pain in my ass. as far as threatening goes, it's just like where you work: zero tolerance. no second chances, no nothin. you're gone. i think my rules are pretty simple, and common, so i'd like to think that there won't be too many problems.

This community is geared specifically towards people living in the new england area (maine, vermont, new hampshire, massachusetts, connecticut, and rhode island, for those that didn't pay attention in grade school) who are serious about their body modifications, whether it be simple guaged piercings in the ears, scarification, tattoos, implants, whatever. just please keep pictures of amputations and self-inflicted gunshot wounds to yourselves please. personally i don't see that as modification. it's more like mutilation. if you think that's discrimination, fine. but i made the community, so i make the rules.
my biggest rule is that no one bearing modifications under the age of 18 either join the community or post in the community. i don't care if Mommy and Daddy are totally cool and signed for you to get something done. it's one thing if you're gauging your ears from a piercing you got when you were 12. it's another thing if you're getting a facial/surface or otherwise "mature" piercing. which leads me to the second reason why no minors are welcome to join or post here: people will be posting images of their modifications, and nudity may be involved. this is a community made for people who see body modification as art, and therefore are not distracted and instantly turned into raving horny lunatics by any nudity they might see.
and finally, this community is specifically designed with you in mind...well, a lot of it is what i like, but what i'm saying is, please don't hesitate to make any suggestions pertaining to design, layout, links, interests, whatever. i want everyone to feel welcome and safe. i don't want anyone to hesitate showing off their ink or piercings or scarifications, or what-have-you. any harrassment, unfounded criticism or otherwise elitist bullshit will not be tolerated. you are here to share your mods, your funny or fucked up stories, your experiences, anything you want to share when it comes to your on-going pursuit of pleasure, pain, and body modification.
