The Dresden Files is used to refer to the adventures of Harry Dresden, Chicago's first (and only) Wizard P.I. He appears in a series of novels by Jim Butcher, a television series on the SciFi Channel, and a roleplaying game by Evil Hat Productions.

Please note: The TV series and the novels share major characters and settings, but run on very different continuities. When posting in any of the shared communities, please specify which universe your post refers to. No acronyms have been agreed upon to differentiate the two continuities, though TDF is creeping into usage to refer to the fandom as a whole.
