Exterminate!
No revision for me, I've discovered that the best use for a rainy saturday afternoon is to have a go at playing Davros . . .

Dalek Bodies are made of goo, as we all know

Dalek amour is made of chocolate buttercream (honest!)

Dalek Weapons of choice I had to buy a whole bag of 'weapons', such a waste . . .*munch*

Work in progress and all over the oven. They were gloopy!

Dalek invasion!

What they don't know yet is that they're going to be exterminated themselves during Dr Who tonight!
The greatest threat in the Universe . . . destroyed by hungry students

	thanks :) they kind of took over the kitchen (I still have to go clean up - though tI'd et the pics up first tho :P) we havent worked out how we're going to cut them up though (I'm not sure I can bring myself to do it) They're held together with cocktail sticks and the buttercream is all over! the fridge (and freezer, but you can't see that) are in the process of being emptied because we're all going back to our parents' houses in the next week or so for the summer. (So i'll be able to watch confidential, and see the episodes without the tv being all fuzzy) It's not normally that tidy, and the kitchen definatey isn't! a real dalek invasion might have been tidier, of course it wouldn't be as tasty . . .

They're sponge cakes (just a standard all-in-one sponge) covered in chocolate buttercream. The decorations are:
cocktail sticks wrapped in tinfoil (non-edible, obviously)
liquorice allsorts
strawberry laces (i wanted plain black liquorice ones but they didnt have any)
little silver/pink balls for cake decoration(again the only option was pink, not classic dalek colours :P)
and the white blobs are sugar decorations for cakes

each dalek is actually two cakes held together with cocktail sticks, a head and a body. I used two sizes of 'flower pot' type pot, to get the dalek shape. I tried a tin can but it was just a straight cylinder. the pots were fine in the oven, but dont fill them too full because the cake rises a lot more than it does in a regular round cake tin (and gloops out all over the oven, which I have to clean tonight)and they need to be greased well so the cakes dont stick, i used a kind of greaseproof paper 'sling' so i coudl lift them out. (a long strip of greasproof going under the cake and sticking out at each side).
