James' Facebook Fan Page:
I'm in a Jimmy mood tonight.  I finally posted the link to this page on his MySpace, more for his fans than him (although someone did log into his page recently) and then I went ahead and made a fan page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/James-Nesbitt/29266807256) for him on Facebook because why the heck didn't he have one already?!  LOL  So anyway please show your love of Jimmy by becoming a fan of him on Facebook.

Excited about new project
Just as [info]samati posted, my Google Alerts today were filled with notices about Five Minutes of Heaven which will star James along side of Liam Neeson. I'm so excited I could scream. Loves them both!!! This sounds like a really good one for James considering the spectacular Neeson and critical success of the director. I can't wait.

Jimmy to star with Liam Neeson in new Troubles Film:
From the Guardian:

BBC2 has commissioned a major drama about the Troubles in Northern Ireland that will feature James Nesbitt, with Liam Neeson also being lined up for a starring role.

The one-off piece, to be called Five Minutes of Heaven, will be set in Belfast and tell a dramatised version of the real life story of 17-year-old Alistair Little, a member of the Protestant Ulster Volunteer Force.

Little was convicted in 1975 and spent 12 years in prison for the murder of 19-year-old Catholic Jim Griffin in Lurgan.

The murder was witnessed by the victim's 11-year-old brother, Joe, and the film will look at the impact of his sibling's death on him and his family.

Hollywood star Neeson is expected to confirm soon that he will play Little as a grown man, while Murphy's Law actor Nesbitt will portray Joe Griffin in adulthood.

Both actors were born in Northern Ireland and have previously appeared in films about the province's troubled history.

Neeson starred in the 1996 movie Michael Collins, about the early 20th century IRA leader and founder of the Irish Free State, while Nesbitt took a lead role in the 2002 ITV film Bloody Sunday.

The new drama will be directed by German Oliver Hirschbiegel, whose movie Downfall, about Hitler's last days, was nominated for a best foreign film Oscar.

Five Minutes of Heaven is being written by Guy Hibbert, who penned the 2004 Channel 4 television film about the Real IRA bomb that killed 29 people in Omagh.

Hibbert said: "The impact of the drama is stronger still, as the story is about two real people who stand up and say it the way it is.

"It was important to get their full permission and co-operation. I have created this drama in their image, using their words and reactions.

"Working separately with both Alistair and Joe on the fictional areas provided a unique way of telling this story and revealed there were no easy answers."

Patrick Spence, the head of BBC Drama Northern Ireland, which commissioned the film from independent producer Big Fish Films in association with Ruby Films, said: "Northern Ireland is a society emerging from conflict. We wanted to develop and produce a single film, which, in a responsible way, marks part of that transition.

"We have done this by recording powerful personal testimonies of the two individuals whose lives have been determined by the Troubles."

The film's producer, Stephen Wright, added: "This film is not about finding a resolution or a happy ending. What we are attempting to achieve, in a balanced way, is to create a place where both men can tell their individual stories."

Filming is due to begin on the drama at the end of the month in Belfast, for broadcast on BBC2 later in the year.

Five Minutes of Heaven, which also received finance from Northern Ireland Screen, will be produced by Eoin O'Callaghan for Big Fish Films and Wright for the BBC.

It will be executive produced by Spence and Paul Trijbits, whose credits include Bloody Sunday, The Wind that Shakes the Barley and Touching the Void; and Cameron McCracken for Pathe, which will also distribute the film outside the UK and Ireland.

Five Minutes of Heaven was commissioned by Jane Tranter, the BBC controller of fiction, and Roly Keating, the BBC2 controller.

Midnight Man info
I've almost failed you. *hangs head in shame*
Not sure how I managed to miss this one but here is the ITV.com page on the upcoming Midnight Man. Unfortunately I get the "video unable to play" crap message, I assume because I'm a useless yank and unworthy of Nesbitt goodness. I'm in the wrong fricken country!!! But I'm not bitter. Anyway I hope someone can enjoy this and I will be eagerly watching my sources for an upload on May 8th.

Another James Vid
I've uploaded another treat for my fellow Jimmy lovers. It's a little chin wag with Dame Edna for a 2007 promotion of Cold Feet. The Dame puts James on the hot seat with such mischievous topics as singing, stealing, French, being arrested, violating innocent plant life... TWICE... his total man-love for a certain football player and of course Cold Feet. I apologize for the crap quality. It's a bit long so I had to split it into 2 parts. If you would like a better version, just comment and I'll see to uploading it.

Jimmy on Top Gear 2005
I uploaded this video but with how YouTube is policing these days, this may vanish pretty quickly.

For those not familiar with Top Gear, there is a ongoing segment where they put a star in their reasonably priced car. Well Jimmy gets a chance to show his mad skilz around their track.

Screencaps Glory of James
Hello all! Hope you're all wonderful and ready for spring. I have a few goodies for you this round. I've posted links to zipped files of screencaps (and samples thereof) over at my journal. The first is for a morning cooking show Jimmy was on in late March to promote The Passion. The other are a bunch of screencaps from the 2004 made for TV movie Wall of Silence which had some excellent close-ups of our guy. Pop on over for a peek and the links to download the many shots.

Now I will be impatiently awaiting his next project to air, Midnight Man which was slated for sometime in spring if I remember correctly. Of course I will alert you when I hear the shows schedule.

And as a side note, James is at it again with the good deeds. Top Actor's Plea for Cuppa Cash. Way to go Jimmy!

James and Finances
Well this is different. How often do you get a chance to read about an actor's finances and attitudes towards money. I found it quite interesting, especially in regard to the house prices. The area I live in is notoriously overpriced and I suspect James gets quite a lot more for his bucks. Very interesting piece.

James news.
Nominations for the 2008 BAFTA's are out and while James didn't win any, the brilliantly gritty Murphy's Law did for Drama Serial. Trouble is it's up against serious competition, Cranford which I haven't seen but have heard good things about.

Now get a cup of tea and settle on in for a lovely and telling interview with James. Tabloid scandals to sword and sandals. Many of the beginning bits will sound familiar but be sure to read it all. Apparently he's taking up the flute... again?!

And last but not least, take a literary tour of Morocco with James as your guide. If anyone happens to be flying, might keep a lookout for the edition of Skymag he's in. What a way to pass the time!

We've seen this one before
The angel of the north
And even though this one is a sort of replay interview with James, it has a scrumptious photo. It goes deep into his somewhat shady past, his doubts and his family. Good read.
