3. Other Discussion:
+ This is a Veronica Mars Video community. That means the criteria for posts = it has a video link OR is about video-making. If you want to post icons, check out![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
veronica_icons. If you want to discuss things related with Veronica Mars (episodes, spoilers, reviews, etc.), check out veronica_mars. If you have graphics to post, see vm_graphics.
+ DO post video-related questions as long as they relate to Veronica Mars. Please try to limit posts asking for clips** you need to make a video. Friends-lock posts that might be of a questionable nature.
+ DO NOT promote other communities without emailing the Mod first.
4. DO NOT STEAL:
+ NEVER STEAL BANDWIDTH -- This should go without saying, but never, ever hotlink someone's videos without asking. If you would like to refer people to a video, comment and ask the creator how they would prefer you do that. Pretty much anyone wants people to see what they made, so I am sure they will be happy to give you that info.
5. NO SPOILERS:
+ PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE OR HINT at spoilers in your posts. Please respect that many members of this community would like to stay spoiler-free.
+ What counts as a spoiler? Anything about a particular episode until ONE WEEK after it has aired in the US -- in other words, it's a spoiler until 9pm EST the Tuesday after it airs.
6. POST FORMAT RULES: This is the format to use. It really, really helps keep the memories organized and summaries easy to create. Please follow it. If you don't need all of the information listed, feel free to remove some of it.
- Posts not following the post format will get a reminder. If the post is not edited to fit the format within a day, the post will be deleted.
- Post one video per post.

Please do include the size of the files in your posts. Please do not repost entire video information if you have posted the video previously. However, you may link back to the original post in a post with a new video. Please let us know if you have questions.
7. TAGS:
- All posts must be tagged with the band, main character or 'ship, and vidmaker tags. If your video satisfies a request or a theme, add those tags, too.
- If a tag you need does not exist, please add a note to your post and a mod will add it for you. You can use "band: other" if your band tag does not exist, and we will notice that, too.
- Posts without tags will get a reminder. If tags are not added within a day, the post will be deleted.
- New vidmakers will continue to get their username tags created for them, so no worries there.
8. COMMUNITY POSTS:
Every month, we post a summary of all videos from that month. This is a perfect opportunity for members to check their links and tags. It is also perfect for new visitors to easily find a video to watch.
Every month, we also post a monthly theme for inspiration. Videomakers do not have to make a video for the theme. It is just there for ideas.
9. ADVERTISING:
Please DO NOT advertise web sites or communities without asking first. The community is for videos for the Veronica Mars fandom. We'd be more than happy to put links for affiliated sites/comms on our userinfo page. Email a Mod if you want to be an affiliate. Thanks.
