I honestly have way too much time on my hands and I've been thinking about this for quite some time, but I also wanted to see if there was any real interest in such a project before I start in on it.
I wanted to create a searchable database of Neopets-related pages (petpages mostly, but I can include the numerous non-Neopets.com sites, too) with brief descriptions, links, etc. Like, you're searching for an Altador plotguide, don't feel like posting somewhere and asking for one, so you search for it. Or you want to find some Team Tyrannia fan pages. Or some pet lookup/shop/guild/whatever layouts. Or some restocking guides. Or some game guides.
I probably have no idea how extensive or large this project could get and it could very-well blow up into something as large and full-fledged as avatar.starried.net or the like. XD
The thing is, it'd probably be almost entirely dependant upon the users for information. There's only so many petpages I know from following chains of links around everywhere, not to mention that they tend to come and go a lot, so it'd be up to the userbase to submit more websites or notifying me that so-and-so has been frozen/deleted/purged, their page doesn't work any more, they took it down, etc.
Anyways. One big, giant cataloge. Any interest in such a thing? Any interest in helping behind the scenes (code, graphics, etc.)? Any tips/suggestions/flames/opinions?
