as we know, frank tops the NME cool list of 2007. he is number 1.

and here is his respond about being number 1 on the NME cool list of 2007;
In an exclusive interview with Xfm Gallows' frontman Frank Carter - who ironically was yesterday crowned top of NME's Cool List - discussed his plans to get a new 'F**k The NME' tattoo.
Having just been crowned King Of Cool in NME's annual list of who's hot or not, Gallows' Frank Carter revealed his repsonse to the honour may well be to add to his mass of body art with a 'F**k The NME' tattoo.
"I’ve gotta get a 'Fuck The NME' tattoo", he exclaimed. "I did say if they put me number one I’d get it done, cos they’d probably think that was cool and that would cement my place for next year.
"I might just get one of my boys in my band to do it because I don’t want it to look particularly good. Somewhere on my leg, I’m just drawing tattoos at the minute actually. I just tattood my little brother and I’ve gotta do my bassist later on. Tour is a good place to get tattoos."
As to why he topped NME's Cool List this year, Carter was slightly miffed.
"I have no idea, I seriously don’t know. We’re a f*cking hard core punk band, but underneath all the shit we’re still the same dudes that we’ve always been. I sit at home I drink tea, go on tour and hang out with my girlfriend and my boys.
"Maybe it's because we're the first real like heavy band that have come into the mainstream without compromising. We still f*cking call all the shots and decide what we do and don’t do
"I’m honoured that they have put me above all of those other people cause there’s a ton of people on that list that I think are a lot cooler than me that’s for sure. But I don’t necessarily think I deserve it."
But as to who Carter reckoned would top his own personal Cool List the singer and tattoo artist had just one contender.
"It's gotta be my Mum. I don’t really buy into all that celebrity shit and my Mums a f*cking cool lady, she’s really understanding."
The punk outfit - who are currently touring on the Taste Of Chaos beast - release their new single with Lethal Bizzle 'Staring At The Rude Bois' on November 19 before playing at London's Brixton Academy on November 28.
