Greetings Dancers, Musicians, and Belly Dance Fans!

I've pulled my hot head away from the fan long enough to make some rounds of phonecalls for the fall dance schedule.............

here's the latest:

Belly Dance Classes with Mystique

Tuesdays at the Capital City Grange in Montpelier from 6:45 to 8:15pm-start Sept 5th

Wednesdays at the Edmunds School in Burlington from 6:00 to 7:30pm-start Sept 6th

Thursdays at the Shelburne Athletic Club in Shelburne from 6:00 to 7:30pm- ongoing,no class on August 10th.

All classes are ongoing and you may start anytime and come as often as your schedule allows. Classes are $12/drop in or buy a 4 class card for $40. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring a hipscarf!

The afternoon class will compose a dance and present it as the first piece
of the show. Those of you with choreography anxiety, you will remember
this one! it will be so organically composed you will probably never
forget it; it will sink into your soul ;-}.

of selections from the Jeweled Splendor show, and the second half will be

I am is pleased to announce that we will have a
Wednesday evening class for the month of July!
The class will be a mixed-level
unstructured class. What does that mean? Fun!

We start with basic steps and grow from there. The focus is on
moving to the music and having a good time. I teach a lot of
workshops like this, and they get uniformly rave reviews. It's
fun, a good workout, and you learn in an easy, relaxed way, at
your own pace. SO, if you have been waiting for beginner
classes, please give this a try.

This format accommodates more accomplished dancers as well as
beginners. Lots of opportunity to innovate and try more complex
movement.

Wednesdays, July 5-26

American Tribal Bellydance Classes!

Get fit, Feel beautiful! Learn to shimmy, undulate,
and play the zils(finger cymbals)!

American Tribal Bellydance Classes are great for all ages,body types,
fitness levels, and ethnicities!

ATB I (Beginning Class)
Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
July 11th, 18th & 25th and August 1st, 8th & 15th
AND
Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
July 6th, 13th 20th & 27th and August 3rd & 10th

(These are the same class, offered on different evenings)

Classes are held at
The Rose Street Artist's Co-op
78 Rose Street, Burlington, VT

Fee:
$10.00 per class, or $50.00 for the six weeks
(if paid at the first class)

Please note: Bellydance is a strenuous activity, please use common sense and consult your healthcare practitioner with any concerns.
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement, and bring a bottle of water to drink.
Practice Zils (Finger Cymbals) will be available to borrow during class.

Johnsbury will be shifting for the summer to a mixed-level
unstructured class. What does that mean? Fun!

and you learn in an easy, relaxed way, at your own pace. SO, if you

Just a reminder to everyone that Ruth Thomas-Squire is teaching the Intro to Sword Technique workshop at the Music Box next Saturday, March 4. Please RSVP if you are coming so I can give Ruth a heads-up on numbers to expect. I'll lead everyone in a warm-up, then turn it over to Ruth to torture *oops, was that the outside voice?*, ahem, I mean inspire you with some sword work. If you don't have a sword, bring a cane or stick.

Let me know if you need directions to the Music Box. And just in case I used the wrong dance-list again, please forward this to anyone you know I missed!
