So, as most of you know, Jamie has worked out a deal with Hero's Haven in Burlington for us to have a table at their Free Comic Book Day/Grand re-Opening festival.
And Hero's Haven has worked out a cross-promotional deal with the Burlington Public Library.
So I contacted the children's librarian and asked about donating some print editions of the NCWCCC member's work. She is thrilled, would love to see what we have, offered to make an NCWCCC display in the library and... wondered if we would be interested in doing some workshops with the kids this summer.
So, who has books to donate, who wants to make minicomics with the kids, who wants to contact their local library to set up something similar?
I think we need to get some NCWCCC signage for these and for cons.
Oh, and Ursula, Steph, and myself are confirmed for 12:40pm on May 8th for The State of Things. And they are interested in the idea of having highlights animated for the website. |

Mike at Hero's Haven has informed me that the local paper will be doing an article on the event. I'm emailing the participants now. Currently we have Larry, Ursula, Dan, Thomas (tentative), and myself as guests. | |
