“Are you sure you want to do this Timmy?” Sarah asked her older brother.

“It's Tim,” he correct but then continued. “I want to be able to do something good in the world, more than just making computers. NCIS approached me, I should be honored. I am honored.”

“But, what about your writing?” she queried. “You've got so much talent.”

“I can always do both,” he answered. “Just, please... I want this. But I need your support first.”

“Fine, go ahead. Be the best agent you can be,” Sarah sighed. “But if you get killed, don't come crying to me.”

Ziva felt slightly guilty. Since joining the NCIS team, she had invited all of her team members over for a home cooked meal... well almost all of her team members. She hadn't been able to approach Tony about it. She knew the others had all enjoyed her cooking but she was nervous about cooking for Tony. It would seem too... too much like she was trying to impress him. Almost as if she wanted to date him. But she didn't, did she?

He irritated her, always correcting her when she got her English words confused. He annoyed her with all the movie references. He frustrated her, silently comparing her to his former partner Kate. She had heard all about Kate from everyone else, but he didn't speak about it with her. Instead he watched her actions with a small frown.

So why then was she feeling guilty. She didn't overly like him, so why should she care. Maybe it was the deeply seeded idea that she needed him to approve of her, purely because he was her partner. Or maybe she just wanted to be friendly with everyone in her team. It had to be for that reason, right? Right?
