- Each prompt should be submitted as a separate post to this community. One prompt per post, please.
- You can submit as many prompts as you like.
- Everyone who submits a prompt is expected to also write at least one story using someone else's prompt. I'm not going to chase anyone down with a cleaver if they don't post a story...but if you prompt and don't write, you will make the Baby New Year cry. If you submitted a prompt, but can't find one that inspires you, let the mods know and we'll come up with some options for you.
- More than one person can claim a prompt.
- You can claim a prompt even if you don't submit one.
- To claim a prompt, comment on the post that contains the prompt. If you want to claim one of the example prompts above, you can comment on this entry, indicating which one you've chosen.
- Prompts will be accepted until midnight on November 17, but you can claim a prompt anytime between 00:01 on November 18 and 23:59 on December 31.
- You can post your story between 00:01 and 23:59 (in your own time zone) on January 1, 2009.
- Stories should be at least 750 words...again, I'm not going to chase people down and beat them with a word counter.
