I made it (to Atlanta and) into the lobby of the Marriot Hotel tonight! It was amazing! There were so many cool costumes! It was great! I can now say I've been to a con (if not actually *in* one) because I saw a Klingon *and* Storm Tropers! Kenny saw UNIT! And I saw men in kilts in person for the first time. I saw Cookie Monster! Oh there were so many cool people to see! I was agape with awe like any common tourist! lol

We met up with an Author friend of my daughters and had dinner with her and her hubby. That was great.

Afterwards I managed to take some pictures of Con goers. I had a ball! And normally I don't like crowds, but it was way cool!

I was in the same city as Ianto (Gareth David-Lloyd)Jones! I was bouncing, I was so excited! :D

I watched Barack Obama's speech last night at Invesco Field and just felt that yes, this is it. I think this guy will be the next President of the United States. And honestly, how could you not? Seeing him up on stage giving this great, awe-inspring speech and seeing all 80,000 people cheering him on pretty much sealed the deal for me.

(MY ONLY GRIPE WAS THAT THERE WAS NO BALLOON DROPPING, WHICH I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY COULDN'T REALLY DO BECAUSE THEY WERE OUTSIDE, BUT IT WASN'T TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE.)

But then it got even better this morning, because Matt Lauer broke in with a NBC Special Report saying that McCain picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his VP. While it's and interesting, bold and history-making choice, she's really not the best candidate because of her lack of experience and the fact that she's a unknown in Washington. So really, I think the Democrats have this sewn up. Even Mommy, who outright said she'd vote for McCain, heard the announcement and promptly announced she's voting for Obama now because of it. HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES, REPUBLICANS?

Today we got three of the four packages we were supposed to get and the last package is missing somewhere, maybe on the truck, maybe in the warehouse, who knows.

"You'll just have to come back then, won't you?"

"Yeah, I'll come back," he grins. "People will talk."

"Hooray," I laugh.

And he grins a bit bigger.

I start my first shift at my new job in just over an hour, and I am panicking like you would not believe. For months, I've complained and complained about stuff, and now that I have a new job, I'm a wreck.

Is it so wrong to cringe everytime is see a certian icon pop up on doctorwho  ? Everyday there is a post or two by the same person. Very few times it has been something worth posting about. Most of the time it is something that should be on her personal journal. It is community not your  journal stop posting!! 
I know the solution is just to scroll past and ignore it. I can't do this though. I have to look to see if it actually something of importance.

I think I am being sucked into watching Supernatural. Took a break from Sliders and clicked on a link someone sent me. Supernatural fanvid, their latest creation. Knowing nothing about the series it is hard to watch the vid. Just watched the first two episodes and debating if I want to continue. The second episode seriously creeped me out and scared the hell out of me. I hate things that jump out at you from no where. Gah! 

Refuse to watch the news. If I hear one more thing about Obama's speach or the tropical stroms I will scream. Spent an hour listening to someone drone on about Obama's speach at work. Normaly it does not bother me. Kinda nice to hear someones point of veiw. But when someone tries to brow beat me with their point of view and demand I follow thier way of thinking, it annoys me emensly.  Heard one customer call it bible beating with a politcal view. That made me smile. I am tempted at times to make a t-shirt, window sticker and bumbersitcker of my icon.

How many times a day do you...

1. Brush your teeth?

Four or five.

2. Shower?

Once.

3. Check your E-mail?

ROTFL Oh, boy. No way can I answer this one! Put it this way my email program is launched and open all the time my computer is on. My computer is on, with me using it about seven to eight hours a day and when it bingle-bongles, I check it.

4. Check LJ?

ROTFL again. Once again, when my computer is on, LJ is launched. So I check it maybe every half an hour or so (probably more) unless one of the bingling-bongling emails is a LJ notification or comment and then I toddle off and check it there and then.

5. Eat?

Two main meals (breakfast and supper) and maybe a biscuit or something in the afternoon.
