This is a community for gen and het fan fiction, recs, artwork, icons, and discussion. All fanfic and icons are archived in the community memories and tagged. Fanfic is archived by both 'fanfiction' and the author name.

Slash is not allowed. (For slash stories, please visitncis_slash.) While het fic is welcome, gen or friendship fic is preferred. Stories that have not been spell-checked, do not have punctuation, or fail to use paragraph breaks are not appreciated. BDSM/S&M and rape fic are strongly discouraged. Any and all potentially offensive language or images must be behind an LJ-cut.
Episode discussion is more than welcome, but the moderators will open the discussion each week - please do not start additional posts for discussion of the current week's episode. (This will help us to avoid repetition and unlabeled spoilers.) Discussion that asserts personal interpretation of subtext or elements of fanon as canonical is not appreciated.
Episode discussion of old episodes (any season!) outside of the dedicated post must be behind an LJ-CUT, please. This is a courtesy to the newbie fans who have finally seen the light and fallen in love with our favorite show!
For the comfort of all our members our spoiler policy is as follows:
1. A post that mentions spoilers or for the purpose of discussing spoilers must be behind an LJ cut. Spoilers currently include anything from Season 4 to the present.
2. Spoilers are allowed in comments made to Episode Discussion posts, provided that when you comment, you use the subject line of your comment to warn for it. For example, you could use the subject SPOILERS IN THIS COMMENT THREAD, so it's large and clear for all to see. Readers can simply skip over that thread (or choose not to read it if they get it via email).
NCIS Haven is a peaceful place, so we ask that you help keep it that way. Please feel free to offer differing points of view or constructive criticism, but do so tactfully. Personal attacks on other participants are strictly prohibited and grounds for banning.
Please post large graphics or more than 3 icons behind a cut.
All the standard rules apply. Please label all spoilers, use cuts, and include some sort of rating for fic, etc. etc. Our preferred format for fic introduction is as follows:
