Color Power: Color Healing

Color Power: Color Healing
We are all drawn more toward certain colours than others, usually as a result of personal experiences associated with the relevant hue. Consciously or sub consciously - colour affects us and those around us in many ways. Being drawn to a certain shade on a particular day – be it the food we eat or the clothes we wear – usually means that our being is in need of this particular colour. It is no accident that phrases like seeing red or feeling blue and blues music have become common in our language. Colour and sound vibrations affect our daily lives and can also be used to heal us.
T
he world may well appear a more colourful place to women. According to a new study many women perceive a greater range of colors - particularly shades of red - than men are able to see. Red, orange and yellow are denoted as active and warm colours while blue and purple as cool and passive. Green is the one hue that is neither. It is the balancing and healing shade forming the mid point of the full colour spectrum.
A Short Background of Colour Healing
Most of what we know today is credited to the scientific research of Sir Isaac Newton. However, the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans all used colour in healing. Painting rooms and using coloured ointments formed a part of this process.
In fact, physician Aulus Cornelius Celsus wrote about using colour as a therapy as early as the 1st century in Rome. In the 9th century, the Arab physician Avicenna wrote about the relationship of colour to both diseases and their treatments.
Colour therapy has been successfully used in hospitals and mental institutions since the 1930s. Exposure to different hues has an affect on our emotions and psychology. Although quite gentle when used in healing, it can have powerful results.

Different Ways of Healing with Colours
Different colours are associated and resonate with different parts of the body. These are known as the seven energy centres of the physical being known as chakras. The chakras themselves are interconnected through energy meridians throughout the body. If those energy centres or meridians are out of balance the body often reacts with physical symptoms resulting in a person feeling ill. A variety of applied techniques are generally used to bring the body back into balance.
Colour Healing Using Candles
O
ne of those methods is the use of coloured candles. As a general rule, people are drawn to a certain shade if they are deficient of this particular hue and need to re energise a certain chakra. Simply light a candle of the relevant colour and remain in close proximity to it, hence recharging your out of balance energy field.
Colour candles can also be used for a specific requirement. If you need to concentrate to read or study, light a yellow candle. Different colours have distinct effects on the human psyche and through it on the physical well being, but more on that later.
Colour Healing Using Lamp Radiation
T
he use of a lamp with shaded light bulbs is another way of using colour to re balance body, mind and spirit. It can be used to illuminate the room in general or focused on specific body parts as needed. Again, different colours cause different reactions – a warm colour such as red, orange or yellow will stimulate body and mind while a cool shade of blue or purple will have a calming effect.
Colour Water Healing with Sun Energies
P
lace a colour gel into a clear bowl of water, cover the bowl and place it in the sun – generally on a window sill. Alternatively, use a clear glass or bowl of water with coloured panes of glass or filters and expose both to the sunlight.
The sun will then energise the water over time in accordance with the shade of gel, filter or pane of glass used. If placed in the window in the morning, the water should be ready for consumption by sundown.
The sun’s rays are said to have magical healing qualities. The coloured and subsequently energised water will assume and accumulate the relevant healing qualities and thus enable healing certain illnesses and injuries by drinking the liquid.
C
olour Breathing
Concentrate on a certain colour you feel deficient of and breathe in deeply. This can be combined with colour candles or a lamp with a shaded bulb or even a coloured fabric (preferably made from natural materials such as silk or cotton) either placed in front of you or simply close by.
Colour Visualisation
Similar to Colour Breathing, visualise a certain colour in your mind with your eyes closed. Imagine yourself immersed in this hue and see yourself resonate with it, healing and balancing you. Again, this practice can be combined with candles, lights and/or fabrics as above.

Now a little insight into the effects the different colours have on our every day life.
First the seven colours connected to our body’s energy fields – the chakras:-
RED – Root Chakra (base of spine)
Red stands for energy, vitality and power. If you feel tired in the morning, wear or eat something in this shade to give you the extra energy you need for the day. It stimulates the physical body and nervous system as well as emphasises independence and individuality. This hue also counteracts physical exhaustion, worry as well as fear and helps raise blood
Contrary to popular belief, colours are not only used in alternative healing but also in modern medicine. Red is used to burn out cancer as well as drying up weeping sores or wounds.
It is also a good colour for business, especially if you are a sales person. The colour red stands out and attracts people. A red carpet or wall in a place of business will draw money.
ORANGE – Sacral/Sexual Chakra (below naval)
Orange is used to increase immunity and physical energy, sexual potency and also has a positive effect on digestive problems, muscle spasms and cramps, chest (bronchitis and asthma) and kidney disease as well as emotional stress. This hue has a gentle warming effect and creates a cheerful and conscientious image.
Just slightly less powerful than the red hue, orange should only be used in small doses and is not a good colour for nervous or easily agitated people. Too much exposure to this shade can also cause placid and timid characteristics.
YELLOW – Solar Plexus Chakra – Energy Centre (just above naval)
Yellow is the hue of the intellect. If you need mental stimulation or clear a foggy head this is the colour to help you achieve that. It also activates charm, joy and optimism, and counteracts depression, anxiety, stomach trouble as well as
Being another warm and active colour it again stimulates the nervous system and can cause exhaustion and depression if exposed to too often.
GREEN – Heart Chakra (centre/left chest)
This uplifting, peaceful and serene ‘in between’ colour – neither warm and active nor cool and passive - is the healer and balancer of emotions, but also enhances creativity and focus. Green stimulates growth – be it mending broken bones or rejuvenating tissue – lowers blood pressure, alleviates sleeplessness and counteracts nervous disorders and muscle tension.
Green produces the image of stability and efficiency. We appear calm, controlled and at peace with the world. Green is also the colour of Mother Nature.
BLUE – Throat Chakra - Communication (throat)
Truth, serenity and harmony are evoked with this colour. It is the soother of the mind and emotions – reducing both mental and nervous tension - and counteracts the stimulator yellow. It is no coincidence that blue and yellow combined result in the colour green, the neutral balancing shade of the spectrum. Versatile and tranquil it creates the image of patience and understanding.
It is the cooling, calming, reconstructing and protecting hue. It soothes burns, helps with fever attacks and nervous irritations, and even stops bleeding by counteracting the colour red. It also pacifies sore eyes, earaches, nausea, a sore
However, too much of the colour blue can leave you cold, depressed and feeling sorry for yourself.
PURPLE – Third Eye Chakra (mid forehead)
Purple is the connector to the spiritual realm and self, promoting the tendency not to accept anything at face value and create a sense of peace. Mental and nervous problems are soothed by this hue, increasing concentration and focus. It also helps alleviate rheumatism, epilepsy and pain in general – deep tissue work and healing of the bones – and pacify the central nervous system.
This colour unifies impulsive red with gentle blue, creating an almost mystical shade representing intuitive and sensitive understanding of the unreal. Almost 75% of pre adolescent children as well as pregnant women and people suffering from hyper thyroidism have a preference for this colour – deemed to be based on a desire for mystic intimacy or understanding.
WHITE – Crown Chakra (top of head)
White is a generally neutral colour yet incorporates all shades of the spectrum. It connects our central being to the universe through the Crown Chakra. It is considered to be the highest charging field for bringing peace and comfort, but also for the immune system to heal itself.
The frequency of white light has been construed as sacred, pure, perfect, innocent, of chastity and redemption, and generally triumphant of spirit over flesh. It is also connected to clean or cleanliness in conjunction with the phrase ‘pure white’ and is the reason for most brides wearing a white wedding gown.
![]()
Other popular colours:-
LAVENDER
While purple connects directly to our psychic self, this softer shade assists with spiritual healing. Lavender is a soothing and calming colour – apparently used to burn off karma from other/previous lifetimes.
TURQUOISE
A mixture of the great balancer and healer green and the calmer and soother blue – this colour incorporates both elements. If you are in dire need of healing and calming, this is the perfect colour to wear, eat or simply look at.
BLACK
This is the cloaking hue – the colour chosen when a person tries to become invisible and feels the need to retreat and/or regroup. Wearing black can shroud us in an aura of mystery. However, wearing all black over a long period of time can result in the desire to cut ourselves off completely from society and communication.
SILVER
Peace and persistence are incorporated into this shade. It is a major purging colour and helps in removing unwanted disease and troubles from the body including cancer of tissue and blood.
GOLD
While gold is seen as the wearer being materialistic, it also portrays the person as being open and approachable. It is said to be the strongest colour to help cure all illnesses and strengthen both body and spirit. However, many people are unable to tolerate this colour for any length of time.

Color Healing:
In Western culture the different classifications used in dealing with colors are: hue, value and chroma. Non-Western cultures may determine their color concepts by different means. Hue refers to the position in the spectrum of visible light. Each of the seven primary has a position on the spectrum measured in angstrom units. (An angstrom unit is one hundredth millionth of a centimeter and is used to measure wavelengths on the electromagnetic energy spectrum) The following is the positions of the primary colors measured in angstrom units: The color violet has a wavelength varying from 4000-4500; indigo, 4500-4700; blue, 4700-5100; green 5100-5600; yellow, 5600-5900; orange, 5900-6200; and red, 6200-6700.
Value represents the amount of light reflected, or the brightness of the color. The range of reflected goes from "white," where all the light is reflected to "black," where there is no reflection of light. But, it must be noted that no true color has been found. White even has grays to black in it. There are no true orange or green, but a mixture of other colors. The same holds true for the next classification of color, chroma, the "purity," "saturation," or "intensity" of a color. No color is pure, but an combination of other colors, although one particular hue is dominant.
The body selects from sunlight whatever colors it needs to maintain balance, and these colors are absorbed by vibrations. Lacking colors is called chromopathy, from the Greek words kroma, color, and pathos, suffering. The treatment for this condition is chromotherapy, which supplies the body with colors that it is lacking. The application of chromotherapy is very practicable and can be done without danger to anyone because the natural element of color is being dealt with.
The primary colors of the spectrum and their healing properties:
Violet: Violet is at the opposite end of the spectrum from red. Good for mental disorders, the nervous system, baldness and female complaints.
Indigo: Indigo is a slight narcotic removing fears and reassures those afraid of the dark. Good for emotional problems, deafness, and especially good for the eyes, even cataracts.
Blue: Blue acts as an antiseptic and cooling agent. Excellent for inflammations including those of internal organs. Good for cuts and burns, also for rheumatism.
Green: Green is the great healer. It is neutral to the other others. It serves as a general tonic and neutralizer. When in doubt, use green. Excellent for heart problems, neuralgic headaches, ulcers, head colds and boils.
Yellow: Yellow is excellent in treating bowel and intestine problems. It can act as a mild sedative to relieve many fears and give a mental uplift. It is good for treating indigestion and heartburn, constipation, piles, also menstrual problems.
Orange: Orange is not as harsh of a color as red, but has many of the same properties. Very good for illnesses of the respiratory system such as asthma and bronchitis; also good as a tonic and laxative.
Red: Red is at one end of the spectrum. It is a warm color which invigorates, excellent when used for treatment of persons having heat diseases, anemia, and liver diseases.
Color healing is usually done with the technique of visualization. The practitioner vividly holds the color in his mind and directs it to the affected area of the patient.
Directing the Color:
The practitioner produces the color required to heal the patient. Most often light from outside or direct sunlight is used. To intensify the required color a piece of colored glass, plastic, or even cellophane may be used in which to direct light through. One method is to tape the piece of colored glass, plastic, cellophane, or even tissue paper on the pane of a window, then let the patient sit in front of the window so the colored light is directed directly on the patient’s afflicted area, if it is the stomach then the light should penetrate the stomach area, or an afflicted arm, or whatever. This treatment should be given in two thirty minutes daily, once in the morning and once in the evening.
In the absent of sunlight or there is no available window artificial light may be used. One method is the used of a photographic slide projector. This is frequently better than a window because the light can be more accurately focused onto the afflicted area. From a photographic supply firm one can obtain empty cardboard slide mouths onto which can be placed small rectangles of colored plastic or acetate so to have a set of slides of the seven primary colors.
Color-Charged Water
An ordinary glass of water can become medicinal when charged by sunlight. Tape a piece of colored paper or acetate around the glass (a colored bottle is even better) and let it sit in sunlight from six to eight hours. Even if the sun does not directly shine on the water it will still be charged. A wineglass of water taken three time daily has the similar effect as a thirty minute colored light application.
An example of this is drinking red water in the morning to wake one up or invigorate the person, and drinking indigo at night to relax him. Treatment by the use of color-charged water is called Hydrochromotherapy.
Distant Color Healing
Color healing, used as form of sympathetic magic, can also be applied when the patient is absent by utilizing a photograph of the person The treatment is known as Graphichromotherapy. It is best employed by using a low voltage light bulb, perhaps even a night light. The same application applies as in all color healing: focus the color directly onto the afflicted area. This can be more easily done when the photograph is in a frame. The colored material is placed over the afflicted area of the person. The treatment should be applied at least three hours a day.
Healing with Water
- Apr. 27th, 2009 at 12:03 PM
Healing with water is a concept that has existed for countless years. Even in ancient times, water was valued as an element that gave life and promoted longevity in humans. In modern times, drinkable water is just as important to civilization in general and our well-being in particular. Having a source of clean water is the single most important aspect to life in many respects. Now that science has advanced so far, we are beginning to further understand that there are special techniques to get more out of the water we drink.
There are various purifying technologies that can actually make water even healthier than it is normally. Healing with water has been the subject of many recent studies. Results have shown that ionized drinking water has many amazing health benefits. The basic thing to understand is that the food and drink we consume falls into two categories. We consume alkaline and acidic substances. For example, meat, coffee, alcohol, and processed foods are all acidic. If you think about it, most people actually eat lots of acidic foods, and this can be harmful to the body.
When we have to much acid in our diet, our bodies become more acidic and that leads to health problems. Lowered immune resistance, constipation, decreased metabolism, heart-burn, stress, fatigue, and other less serious problems are the most common results. For older people, the problems are more serious. Ailments such as high blood pressure, diabetes, liver disorders, and arthritis can occur when the body becomes too acidic. There are plenty of other conditions that arise as a result of poor eating and drinking habits. However, there is something you can do to counteract all this. Healing with water is the answer to many of these problems.
Studies have shown that drinking ionized water on a daily basis can help to clean out the toxins in your body and promote better health. Healing with water is possible because ionization raises that pH of tap water, adding more antioxidants. In chemistry terms, ionized water works like a solvent to break down acidic waste in our bodies. Then the toxins can be flushed out. The nature of ionization also makes it possible for alkaline ions to be absorbed faster in the body. This means that more oxygen is delivered to the blood, thereby increasing overall energy levels and promoting healing. Look for more information and resources to take advantage of the healing powers of water today.

The History Of Reiki
- Mar. 5th, 2008 at 3:08 PM

Reiki is believed to have begun in Tibet several thousand years ago. Seers in the Orient studied energies and developed a system of sounds and symbols for universal healing energies. Various healing systems, which crossed many different cultures, emerged from this single root system. Unfortunately, the original source itself was forgotten.
Dr. Mikaomi Usui, a Japanese Christian educator in Kyoto, Japan, rediscovered the root system in the mid- to late 1800s. He began an extensive twenty-one-year study of the healing phenomena of history's greatest spiritual leaders. He also studied ancient sutras (Buddhist teachings written in Sanskrit). He discovered ancient sounds and symbols that are linked directly to the human body and nervous system that activates the universal life energy for healing.
Usui then underwent a metaphysical experience and became empowered to use these sounds and symbols to heal. He called this form of healing Reiki and taught it throughout Japan until his death around 1893.

Toshihiro Eguchi, studied with Usui in 1923. Eguchi was the most prominent of his students and he reportedly taught thousands of students before the war. It is largely through Eguchi that hands-on-healing has continued in Japan
The tradition was passed through several grandmasters of Reiki.

Dr. Chujiro Hyashi, studied with Usui in 1925, just a year before Usui's death. Hayashi was one of the first of Usui's non-Buddhist students. Hayashi was not a Buddhist, and had his own separate, and very strong beliefs, which were decidedly Christian. Usui eventually sent Hayashi on his way. Hayashi used the knowledge he learned from Usui to open a healing clinic in Tokyo. He readapted some of the format of Usui's teachings and developed a more complex set of hand positions suitable for clinic use. His clinic employed a method that required several practitioners’ work on one client at the same time to maximize the flow of energy. One of Hayashi's ways of getting practitioners for his clinic was to give the First Degree Initiation / Attunement in return for 3 months commitment as an unpaid employee. After this period he would offer the better students the Second Degree for a further 9 month commitment. Those who completed this had an opportunity to receive further training. After 2 years further commitment (which involved an apprenticeship under Hayashi) they were taught all the initiations / attunements and were allowed to begin to teach the first level.

Hawayo Takata born in 1900 in Hanamaulu, Kauai.
Mrs. Takata once said “There's power in them palms.” She also said when questioned about energy “No, it's not a key to ease the energy crisis. "It's a cosmic energy to heal the ill, Reiki, which is applied by hand, goes to the cause and effect. When the cause is removed there will be no effect. It is not associated with any visible material being. It's an unseen spiritual power that radiates vibration and lifts one into harmony. This power is incomprehensible to man, yet every single living being is receiving its blessings.
"I believe there is only one Supreme Being - the Absolute Infinite - a dynamic force that governs the world and the universe. It is a universal force from the divine spirit and is available to anyone interested in learning the art of healing. "Reiki helps attain health, happiness and security which leads to the road of longevity." 1990- 1980.
(It is now said that she was a minister in a spiritualist church)
There are many forms of reiki being practiced now. The principal one being: "the Usui System of Natural Healing"
The Usui System of Natural Healing balances and strengthens the body's energy, promoting its ability to heal itself.
Reiki is useful in treating serious illnesses as well as others. Examples are: sports injuries, internal diseases, emotional disorders, cuts, burns, and stress-related illnesses.
Reiki was introduced to the Western world in the mid-1970s. Since then its use has spread dramatically worldwide.
10 Crystals for women

Crystals can be used to assist women of all ages and in all stages of healing. The awakening of the Self to a spiritual journey is not an easy task. It can demand much time and resources to achieve self-development and growth. Some choose not to undertake the risks and perils of peeling off our defences to become fully human and alive, and to experience the full wealth of life.
"Isis Unveiled" is a term which refers to the Egyptian goddess whose face and form was covered with a red cloth, symbolic of the ignorance and emotionalism that stood forever between a person and Truth. To the wise, Isis lifts her veil, dispelling and revealing the mysteries of the Universe. The inner journey becomes sacred to those who can withstand the intensity of full consciousness.
Crystals have a healing role to play in this fantastic journey. Like the mysteries of a woman's consciousness, crystals help to contain the inner processes of "Isis Unveiled", and help to prepare the unveiling of female consciousness through healing all levels of her being. Crystals provide protection and give sanctuary for the deep healing a woman does within herself. I have listed a selection of ten crystals and gemstones from a group of forty-four that are useful in healing women and women's issues. The next crystals articles will be on healing men's issues, followed by "Using Crystals for Healing Children".

There are three steps to effective crystal healing
- Dec. 2nd, 2007 at 4:42 PM
The first step is the cleansing process. In first week or so, the crystal is making tremendous adjustments within your energy field, matching the matrix of your energy fields to a larger outer universal energy field which will be used in your healing.
It is important to keep the crystal on you all the time (24 hours a day) for at least the first 21 days for this cleansing process to be initiated and completed. This is also a period of time where the blockages of energy that are causing the imbalance are removed.
Sometimes a healing crisis occurs at this point, during the early days of wearing the crystal. Remember, resolving the inner conflict may take time and that crystals accelerate the change process. Allow these processes to occur without interruption, by continuously wearing the stone or crystal until you complete the next two steps.
It is a good idea to cleanse your crystal every week and to recharge it in the sunlight for at least four hours weekly through out the healing process.Harmonizing and Integrating
The second step in crystal healing is the process of harmonizing and integrating the changes into your whole being. You may notice physical and emotional changes in either of the first or second steps as your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies come into alignment. Some of these changes are caused by throwing off toxins and negative energies from the cleansing process which continues throughout the cycle of healing.
In the second stage, beginning in about the fourth week of wearing the stone or crystal, you may notice that your face looks more relaxed as the harmonizing connection is made within yourself. Your mental outlook, thoughts, feelings and even opinions may change significantly. All aspects of your energy will be activated and the result is a very positive feeling. However, you are not out of the woods yet!Stability
The third step can take three to four months, perhaps even longer for some people depending on the intensity of the original condition. With continuous wearing of the stones or crystals, you will achieve stability for the changes. There is no turning back at this point.
You can test out the stability by removing your crystals from time to time. If you feel desperate and need to put your crystals back on after only a few minutes, you are not even close to stabilizing the energy changes. If you are able to go for a few days without your stones, but then notice you are slipping back into your old ways, consider wearing your stones for another week or more, or only at bedtime before testing again. As you develop deeper sensitivity for crystal energy, you may decide to keep the crystals on much longer.

History of Reiki
- Nov. 15th, 2007 at 2:09 PM
History of Reiki
Dr Mikao Usui was teaching in a college in Japan.
One of the students asked him if he believed in spontaneous healings. The question for now remained unanswered.

Later he was so determined to learn about the secrets of healing, that he wanted to find out for himself.
He started on a journey through many countries to trace and to find out all about this big secret of natural healing.
Unable to find that knowledge on his journey, he heard about a Zen Monastery. There he asked if he could stay there and learn from the Monks.
Dr. Usui wanted to read the sacred books in their original language.
So he had to learn Sanskrit and this was the first language.
In Sanskrit he discovered a formula for contacting a higher power that could bestow natural healing. He had found the information he had been looking for. It was only a formula and even knowing the formula, it did not give him the ability to understand this healing.
He was determined to find out about the formula. He asked the Monks how to follow the practices in the formula. The Monks advised him to go to the holy mountain of Kurama and they gave Him also the Buddho meditation.
Dr. Usui fasted and meditated and followed the directions from the Monks for 21 day's. He placed 21 stones in front of him and removed one at the passing of each day like a calendar.
Nothing unusual happened, until the dawn of the last day. Then he saw a shining light moving towards him. He realized that this light was trying to communicate with him. He knew then, that this was the 'LIGHT' with the healing power he had been searching for.
Through this light that struck him on his forehead (third eye). He received the knowledge of the symbols and mantras described in the formula.
He returned to reality and he felt full of strength and energy.
When he began to climb down the mountain, he stubbed his toe. With his hands, he held his foot and he realized that the pain had disappeared.
Dr Usui returned to the slums of Kyoto, to treat beggars and help them to lead a better life.
One day, he noticed that the same faces kept returning. When he asked why they had not begun a new life, he was told that it was too much responsibility and that it was easier to go on begging.
Dr Usui left the slums after 7 years. He had the knowledge of two very important elements: healing of the mind and the "responsibility" of the receiver in the healing process.
Dr Usui practiced and taught Reiki throughout Japan for the remainder of his life. Before he past away, he gave this knowledge to 16 teachers, one of them was Dr Chujiro Hayashi.
Up to this point, the Usui system of healing consisted of the energy itself, the Symbols, the Mantras and the Initiations of Reiki.
Dr Hayashi opened a Reiki clinic in Tokyo and kept detailed records of the treatments given. He used that information, to create the standard of hand positions and the system of three Reiki degrees and their initiations procedures.
In order to make sure Reiki would be preserved; Dr Hayashi decided to pass the complete teachings on to Mrs. Takata.
Phyllis Furomoto her granddaughter became the new Grand Master
after Mrs. Takata passed away.

The message of water
- Nov. 15th, 2007 at 1:59 PM
The message of water
Masaru Emoto, born 1943 in Yokohama, Japan, is the Head of the I.H.M. General Research Institute. He has undertaken an extensive research into the nature of water over the last few years. His research has been undertaken from "an original perspective as a human being, rather than solely with a scientific eye", as it says in his second book, "The Message of Water". Topaz has received the author's permission to introduce his extraordinary and profound research.
The Danish Nobel prize winner, Niels Bohr, was once seen hanging a horseshoe above a door in his house. Asked by a friend whether he believed in such things, his answer was: "No, but I have been told that it works nevertheless." We all know that there are no two water crystals that are identical. Each has a hexagonal formation, yet each is as unique and individual as the human finger print.
"Beautiful words create beautiful crystals"
During a lecture in March 2002 in Bonn, Germany, Mr. Emoto told the audience that many years ago he began to question why each snow crystal is unique and whether the crystallisation process could be influenced. He later developed a technique to photograph water crystals during the process of crystallisation, and as he studied this he was stunned by what he discovered. He began to recognise that the crystallising process was directly influenced by projecting different words or impressions at the water. He saw that words associated with beauty and fine qualities created beautiful crystals, and words associated with ugliness warped the normal hexagonal crystallisation process! He and his team then played music of various kinds to the water, and the pictures again showed very interesting variations of formations.
"You become what you think about"
Throughout the centuries, philosophers have disagreed upon many diverse matters, but most have tended to agree on one idea, which is that "you become what you think about".
If water can be influenced by its environment, then it is able to record its experience, and it is interesting to consider this in the light of the fact that more than two thirds of our human body consists of water. It is therefore logical that the water in our body, within the cells, the blood or the brain, stores and records the processes and experiences we have, how we think and feel, almost like a tape-recorder. If this is so, then we must directly determine our state of health and our body's capability by what we think about and how we think about it.
As we think, so the brain and other parts radiate fine electromagnetic signals on a constant basis, and the this may in turn print and influence the blood that runs through the cells of our brain in every moment of every day.
The Power of Thought and Feeling
Mr Emoto's research clearly demonstrates how the power within thought, language and sound can even clean and purify water! Perhaps this is one of the original ideas behind certain religious practices, such as that of using 'holy water' and the ceremony of baptism? As various scientific researches performed in the 1970s have shown, it is now widely recognised that music can influence the growth of plants, either in a positive or detrimental way and that in the same way, music can influence our own wellbeing and brain states. Whilst many people will remain sceptical about Mr Emoto's research, nevertheless the pictures may cause us to question the influence that our internal and external environment may have upon us and may open doors to other associated researches in this area.
We include here a selection of photos from Mr Emoto's fascinating and thought-provoking book.

Reiki with crystals

( Read more... )Precious gemstones, colorful crystals like these, are perfect for storing your Reiki energy. Later on we will learn how crystals can be used to make very very powerful Reiki grid, with which you can not only heal other people but you can also help healing the planet with.
Stones like these are available in New Age stores, but they are not exactly cheap. You can use smaller gems, like Amythists, citriynes, mountaun crystals and others, and I will learn you how to make your own personal Reiki energy grid. But aren't these beautiful? To be honest, I can't afford this neither. Click on the pic's for bigger ones.
Later on I will post a list of stones you can use and how you can use them. So hang on for a bit. Gasho _/|\_</font>

Quan Yin..Goddess of Peace

Quan Yin...Goddess of Peace
At this moment in time......I am calm
The universe will give me all the things I need......If I ask
The sacred balance of Yin and Yang......is my natural state
I am grateful for the abundance that has been given me......
May I remember to always use it well.
Quan Yin is my favorite Bodhisattva to call on in times of need, pain and sorrow, but she also eases my heart when I am angry or hurt. In Reiki she is the keeper of the sacred light, because she comforts and helps everybody who asks for her help. Remember her everytime you work with the color purple and she will always be there for you.
This is her mantra:
OM PR.PL.HUM OM MANI PADME HUM HRIH
or
NAMO PR PL KUAN YIN, OM MANI PADME HUM HRIH, OM PR PL HUM
Take Gasho.
Namaste.

About Usui Reiki
- Oct. 13th, 2007 at 10:51 PM

Usui Reiki symbols are sacred and are to be kept confidential. They are only revealed to those who are about to be initiated into the Second or Third degree of Reiki. The reason for this is explained later in this article. However, it is possible to discuss their nature, how they work and their history while we continue to honor this trust.
Usui Reiki symbols are not as mysterious as they might seem. They have actually been created from Japanese kanji which means they are simply words from the Japanese language. ( Read more... )
