Complete bunk, yea or nay? Because it looks pretty difficult to implement..
Thanks!
My boyfriend just moved, and I'm to follow him. The water tastes like sulphur. He's much less picky than me, and even he doesn't like drinking the water. So we want to get a filter that attaches to the faucet. We already have a pitcher one and that stayed with me, so he wants to upgrade to a tap filter before I move.
I don't want to distill my water, just filter it. And I'm also considering getting a shower water filter. I know there was a post about that I can't find.
Does anyone have recommendations? Anyone have ones to avoid? Anyone want to share why they think one is better than the other? I'm all eyes ;)
PS. Mods- can we add the lj search feature to the community info to search through naturalliving. I think it'd help out when you know something's been covered, but you can't find it. Thanks.

*EDITED FOR EASIER READING*
So, since having my baby 6 months ago, I've been feeling really dehydrated/ thirsty, and it's driving me nuts. I have a 24oz bottle that I've been reusing- and I tend to refill it 4 or 5 times during the day.. (drinking one full one right before bed because I feel absolutely parched, even though I've been drinking all day). So, for easy peasy sake, I've been drinking roughly 96- 120oz a day for the last few weeks. I don't get this insane thirstyness- I haven't had the chance to work-out at all since having the baby, so I've been attributing it to the possibility of diabetes. I went to the doctor on Thursday (testing for diabetes), he looked at me like I was stupid, and told me I'm going to kill myself from drinking that much. Ok, now, I've heard of people dying from drinking GALLONS of water in a short amt of time (electrolyte imbalance)... but come on now, 120 ounces, at most, is just under a gallon of water (spread throughout the day).. I'm somewhat active carrying a 17lb baby all day, and am exclusively breastfeeding.. how is that wrong? He also told me that drinking *too much* water makes you thirsty, so to stop feeling thirsty, I need to stop drinking so much water.
So now I'm second-guessing myself. Am I drinking too much water? He didn't end up telling me what an acceptable # is. I'm not a small girl. From what I understand, a person at their "ideal" weight is supposed to drink 8- 8oz glasses of water a day, but if you're overweight, you're supposed to drink more (not sure what the exact measurement is- it's supposed to be a certain amt of oz per lb of weight). FWIW, I'm like 60- 80 lbs overweight, depending on what source you read.
