Native American Community
A Gathering Place
Name:LJ Native American Community
About:
Welcome to the LJ Native American Community!
This community is intended for those of Native American heritage to gather.

When we say "Native American" for the intentions of this community, we mean indigenous to the Americas. You are welcome if your heritage comes from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Bolivia, Venezuela, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.etc. you get the idea :)If you do not see your tribe(s) listed in our interests page, please do not think we are turning you away. There are after all, more than 500 nations, and only 150 interests are allowed. :)

You DO NOT have to be Native American to join! All you need is any interest in Native American culture, history, or contemporary life and an honest desire to be patient and respectful with each other. In some online Native American communities, there is hostility to non-Indians and mixed bloods, but we will NOT allow this here. So welcome!

Any questions? Please contact the Maintainers directly.

In order to be polite, please use an LJ Cut Tag when posting long articles or big pictures to the group. Many thanks! The group is generally unmoderated and works on a principle of cooperation. Trolls are unwelcome anywhere, so please don't be one!
