Welcome to the first slash community on LiveJournal for the series Chronicles of Narnia. We welcome femslash, slash; you name it, we accept generally everything except het [this IS a slash community, after all]. Narnia Slash also welcomes all sorts of pairings; this is a general slash community. Whether they are pairings such as Caspian/Eustace or Jadis/Susan, we welcome all. Don't know what slash is? Here is a definition: Slash works are gay-oriented works of fiction. Yes. You heard me correctly--gay works of fiction. If it doesn't suit your fancy, that's fine. We don't expect everyone to like slash. Have fun and please follow the rules!
RULES
1. LJ-cut. When posting long entries or posting large images [read: images over the size of 200x200 pixels and fanfiction, etc. over the words of 100] use the LJ-cut. It's a simple process that saves many people who have big friends' pages a headache. The FAQ tells you how to make a LJ-cut here.
2. Stay on topic. Posting het here is a definite no, and your post will be deleted or we will request that you delete it after you get one warning. Besides, this is a slash community and slash only, unless the primary pairing is slash. Please post main het elsewhere. Also, stay on the topic of Chronicles of Narnia. Gen content is also fine, as long as it is minuscule, and pertains to either graphics or interviews/articles. Slash is the main content of this community and will always be. There's absolutely no use for people to post about how much they love Harry Potter because Harry Potter does not relate to the Chronicles of Narnia. However, if it's a crossover slash... Perhaps. :)
3. Advertising is a no. Advertising isn't worth much. Don't do it. It's considered spamming, and unless it's advertising a piece of fanwork or whatever, no can do. 'Plugging' non-related communities and RPGs are a no, unless the community pertains directly to Narnia slash. People are here for the slash, not the spam.
4. Rate properly. Do rate properly. Works that are NC-17 or rated R may bother some people. Do them a favour by placing such works under a LJ-cut, thanks.
5. Proper grammar/spelling. Reading l33t or chatspeak gives people headaches. Do try to have proper grammar/spelling in your punctuation, please. 7yP1nG lYk3 7hI5 15 57uP1D. kthnxbai.
6. Don't spam. In correlation to the 'no advertising' rule, keep from posting over 3 times a day, especially in a row. Need to add something? That's what the edit option is for.
7. Keep the peace. Don't start fights amongst yourselves. This is what instant messaging and personal journals are for.
8. No. Bashing. I draw the line at bashing. Flame your hated character/pairing elsewhere. We don't want it here. End of story.
9. Spoilers. Although I doubt that anyone joining this community has never read all the books, I ask you to put spoilers [especially of the newest movie] under a LJ-cut from now until said otherwise. Thanks.
10. Credit. When posting links to fanfiction or posting fanart that isn't yours, be prepared to show evidence that you have indeed asked the permission of the artist/author. We don't want any issues happening over this, thanks.
11. Intro posts. Keep them to a minimum [read: none at all]. Introduction posts will be requested to be deleted. Do something with your posts; post something like icons and such. Contributing is a plus! :)
12. RPS (real person slash). Real person slash will be allowed to be posted here, as long as they contain slash that has ONLY the actors of Chronicles of Narnia in it. Robert Pattison/William Moseley and other such pairings (as in containing actors from movies other than CoN) isn't allowed anymore, although this rule is subject to change.
p.s.: We're nice people, really! :) We do give leeway you know, depending on the circumstances, despite the fact that we sound dead strict.
