Notes:  A bunch of P/E drabbles, some not even slashy. Just trying to get back into the writing groove. Taken from themed_madness . For suborbital . Feel better!

1.       1. Fairytale

Peter would stay up late into the night, hiding under the covers with Lucy, telling her the stories to keep her remembering. The tales of Castles and Knights, Kings, Queens, fauns and the Sea. When their mother would close the door with a smile, when her footsteps faded away, that was when the stories turned to the tales of love lost, and Lucy would tell Peter about the times she caught them snogging in her garden.

2.       2. Rainbow

The rains had  come hard and fast, and the Kings had been caught out in Owlwood when they hit. But they laughed, watching it from the cover of the trees, and they barely noticed the rainbow, too enchanted with watching the raindrops drip from each others hair.

3.       3. Unicorn.

Susan would laugh, spending long days in the stables. She loved the horses, but only Peter had a unicorn. And that Unicorn, whose name was Nemeth, would tell her the things Peter told him; specifically, about how Peter thought Edmund looked like he was from another whole world still when he was in his armour.

4.       4. Fate

It was their fate, it was said, to bring forth the Golden Age, to rescue Narnia, and then to have it all taken away from them. So too then, Edmund supposed, it was their fate to learn to love each other, only to have that taken away too.

5.       5. Neverland

“Do you think Mr. Barie knew about Narnia?” Lucy asked Edmund one day. Edmund smiled, hands in his coat pockets, and looked up at the smoke stacks. “No.” He said. “I think he went to Neverland. And Neverland is his Narnia.”

6.       6. Magic

Lucy knew of more magic than any of her siblings. It was she who would sit by the fire, smile, and whisper to it, and then smile the next morning at breakfast when she saw the results in her brothers’ flushed but happy faces.

7.       7. Supernatural

“Don’t think it doesn’t exist here too, Lu.” Peter told her, “The supernatural. Its here…just in different ways.”

8.       8. Myth

Caspian had thought them a myth. But when he saw the Kings and Queens of old, he realized it was all true. Including the beauty of the Kings.

9.       9. Legend

It was odd, Edmund though, to hear your own name spoken of as a legend. They were real, legends were exaggerated tales, and there was the difference. There was no exaggeration, though, on the love he had for his brother.

10.   10. Quest

“So what quest are you going on this time?” Peter asked him. Edmund grinned, pouncing, “The Quest to find my way into your shorts.”

11.   11. Monster

Peter was great, he was Magnificent, he was golden. But when he watched the ambassadors flirt so shamelessly with Edmund, he turned into the green eyed monster.

12.   12. Villian

“I’m the villain of our own story.” Edmund said one day, leaning against a window in the Cair. Peter smiled, wrapping his arms around his brother. “But the handsome one, at that.” He assured him.

13.   13. Hero

“I’m not the hero here, Ed.” Peter told him softly. Edmund smiled. “No, I think you’re the damsel. So does that mean you kiss me now?”
