Mythcon 39 Room & Board
Prices and packages can be found at the Mythopoeic Society website - follow the frontpage link.

ANYBODY living on the east coast, especially the northeast, do come join us - this is only the second time we've had a Mythcon on the east coast; the last time was 1994 in Washington D.C.

Lots of fun and good people {big grin}

You're right. Connecticut doesn't seem to be much of a camping state.

I went looking for you. Mind you, the distances are without reference to a road map, so I don't know how useful it would be. But the nearest to New Britain seem to be either 25 or so miles & 30 plus miles. 25 is to a campground in Litchfield, the White Memorial Family campground at Bantam Lake (www.whitememorialcc.org). 30 plus is in the other direction in Windham County: in Chaplin, there's Nickerson Park, and beyond that a campground in Ashford.

But that's a heck of a long distance to be driving back an forth, it seems to me. (I mean, I'll be driving 12 miles each way when I'm in San Diego next month for ComicCon, and I consider that the "outer reaches".)

But... there's the info, for what it's worth. :-)

very helpful. many thanks! 25 or even 30 miles is not too bad, morning and night, once the tent is set up. we're used to such distances here [rural northern new england] for work, groceries, etc. will hang onto this and check it out...in case other things come together in time for mythcon.

on the other hand, i've no idea what traffic is like there. if the area's congested that could double travel time
