AboutVia Mystica is a community interested in discussing all aspects of Mysticism, from witchcraft, or shamansism, to strega or kabbala, to buddhism, hinduism, gnosticism, to reconstructionism... The list goes on. The community does not have one specific path, it is simply a place for people on the mystic path to meet as a community.
The aim here is to discuss various aspects of mysticism, it is not designed for posting every mystical experiance you've ever had.
So, saying "I had this really great meditation session last night." and then describing it in great detail, is not really what the community is here for... because, apart from congratulating you there's not really very much input that other community members can give.
Same thing goes for posting your devotional art or poetry.
That's the kind of thing that belongs in your personal journal, rather than sharing it here.
However, asking questions regarding meditative techniques (for instance) is perfectly on topic for this community, as it promotes community discussion.
This is a community in which to discuss concepts relating to mysticism, it is NOT an area to post advertisements, so please refrain from doing so.
Basic rules of conduct:
1. Be on topic. As described above.
2. Refrain from imposing text changes (such as changing colour and increasing font size) in entries here.
3. Place excessively large posts and pics behind an LJ cut tag. Here are the instructions on how to do so.
4. No proselytization - This is a inter-faith community, talking about your religious and mystic beliefs is expected and welcomed, however, please do not take this as an invitation to try and convert community members of faiths other than your own to your personal religion - it's rude and disprespectful.
5. Don't advertise products, services, etcetera. There are places for doing that, but this is not one of them.
6. Please try to be civil to eachother.
7. Do not delete other peoples comments to your posts, if someone leaves what you consider to be an offensive comment on your post, please contact one of the community moderators, and we will determine whether the comment should stay or go.
The moderator reserves the right to delete posts and ban users for unproductive behavior.
