my_slash_line is a My Chemical Romance fanfic challenge community.How It Works....
Each Thursday one line subtracted from a song (any song) will be posted; much like a prompt word. The song it came from will also be uploaded along with it, but the point of the line itself is that the story you write revolves solely on that line, or, if the line is too difficult to create a plot from, then it needs to at least stand out at some point. For example the line: ‘...you make me nervous so I really can’t eat...’ from First Date by Blink 182. After listening to the song, it’s easy to write about a ‘First Date’, which is fine, but you could also make the characters not really like each other and they’re like, in the school cafeteria or something and one of them is too scared to move, ie: Can’t eat. Make sense? Hope so.
The winner will be selected via open poll votes. When the newest ‘slash_line’ is posted it will be posted along with a poll. Every fic submitted from the week prior will be listed and anyone can vote for which one they considered the best (please only vote once). The poll will stay open for a week (so if you entered the challenge you will be waiting since the time you posted plus another week until the final result is announced) and the winner will get a banner to post in their profile. You will be famous. Woohoo!
