Homo Superior, AKA Mutants are being born at a surprising rate . Some say it is the work of the devil, while others say it is the work of God, some are saying it is evolution and others say that it is a defect in the human genome. Whatever it is causing it, people are being born with wonderful and horrible powers.

The government is trying to register mutants and find a ‘cure’, there are hate crimes against both mutants and “base-line” humans, there are terrorist groups, there are peace groups, there are self-help books, clubs and gangs. The world, it seems, is slowly falling apart at the seams and there is nothing we can do about it.

---The Role Play---

This is an AU RP, first and foremost. But this is also a new kind of role play, it is a ‘real person’ role play. Instead of making up original character after original character you have a character that is real and been changed to fit this world. That character is yourself. You can give yourself mutant powers, you can be a member of the “Friends of Humanity” you can be a pedestrian on the street watching it all fly by. You can be a member of Xaiver’s school or not. But there are rules that have to be followed so this can be a high quality RP, please read through these rules.

1.) While this is an AU RP first and foremost, I would like to respect canon. Such as Jean Grey being Phoenix, Kurt is a Catholic and Wolverine having an adimantium skeleton. While it might be awesome for you to fall in love with Scott or Toad, that doesn’t seem to happen anywhere in cannon. This is to keep people from fighting with each other with who gets who.

2.) If you want to apply for a character in the cannon you must first have an active you-character in the RP.

3.) Your You-Character can not start off with awesome powers such as being able to teleport 300 people around the world. You will have to start off as a ‘Level one’ or a ’Level two’ mutant considering the age of your mutant and work your way up by high-quality participation. This rule can only be broken if you have special permission from the moderators with a good reason why (such as the you-character has an extremely weak power and the only way they could hold their own in this RP is to start off at a slightly higher level) a bad reason would be. ‘BUT IT WOULD BE AWESOME’

The rankings would go like this

Level One: This is the weakest form of mutant, there powers have just awakened, they do not have very good control over them and they can not do epic things with them. An example would be a mutant that can fly being able to glide for short distances, they can land in the general area they want to land, they might crash into a tree. They are a MINIMAL THREAT. The average age of these mutants is 11-15 years old.

Level Two: The mutant is starting to control their powers and can do noticeable things with them. Such as a telepathic mutant being able to read the mind of a person if they focus hard enough or a pyrokentic being able to start small, control fires on command. These are a MINIMAL to MODERATE THREAT. The average age of these mutants are 16-20

Level Three: The mutant has full control over their powers and are now starting to fine tune their powers and/or tap into the full potential. Such as a teleporter being able to teleport more than themselves to a precise area or a mutant with super strength being able to lift heavy things but still hold delicate things with out destroying them. These are a MODERATE THREAT. The average age of one of these mutants is 21-30.

Level Four: This mutant is starting to do epic things with their powers, except they still need to work on control of this strength of power to keep from harming themselves or others. A telekinetic mutant with this level of power could make things that weight over a ton hover about 20-30 feet in the air. These are a MODERATE TO EXTREME THREAT. There is not enough information to figure out the average age of these mutants.

Level Five: These are the mutants that have learned to control their full potential and do epic things to the smallest of detail. Such as a healing mutant being able to locate a single defective gene in a body and fix it. THESE ARE AN EXTREME THREAT. There is not enough information to figure out the average age of these mutants.

Omega Level: There is not enough information on these mutants to create an accurate profile. To reach this level in the RP you must post an OOC petition, with a good reason why you should achieve the power of an omega mutant and there must be a vote in which a majority of the members agree that you can reach this level. If it is a tie, the mods will vote a tie breaker. You must meet the other five levels first.

The only exceptions are canon mutants, they start off with their average power level in the comics/cartoons/movies.

4.) Be polite and civil to your fellow RPers. If you are having any problems with anyone contact a mod. We do not want this RP to die because someone is mad at someone else.

5.) In battles give your opponent a chance to attack/block/dodge/get hit. Do not make a post like, “And then So-and-so attacked Joe Blow and release a deadly series of blows onto him hitting all his vital organs, finishing it off with a katana slice to the face.’ A proper post would be, ‘And then So-and-So charged to Joe Blow getting ready to release a series of blows’

6.) No player kills unless you have the player’s permission.

7.) If you get yourself killed off you must re-apply with yourself and explain how they get brought back to life. Depending if it makes since with out your character becoming uber!powerful they will probably get brought back to life. This is the X-Men universe after all.

8.) No l33t sp33k if possible. If your character is typing in an IM to someone else, sure, okay, have at it. But if it is actual talking, don’t do it. Try to use proper spelling and grammar. Also try to provide translations if your character speaks in another language.

9.) Unless you can speak the language or can translate it due to your powers, RP!you will not be able to read/understand what is being said in that language . The translation will be provided jut so you the player can have your curiosity satisfied.

10.) Lj-Cut if your friend. Use it for images bigger than 300X300 pixels or long posts.

Tag it also. Tag with characters involved , rating, and location. You can edit your tags. This is so it will be easier for everyone to know what is going on, just incase someone misses something.

12.) Try to post in your RP!You character’s journal at least once a week.

13.) Don’t be an asshat.

14.) The mods are only one letter away from god. Treat them as such. (Just kiddin’)

I know that might seem harsh, but that is so the RP can seem more real. You must have a character journal by the time you apply. If you don’t get accepted you can always delete it.
