Okay.. I'm going to try to pull out another page before I have to start school again on Monday (technically Tuesday). If it doesn't happen, there probably won't be another update for at least four weeks. After that my schedule will (hopefully) be a little less hectic, so we'll see.

Also.. new background color. Because the other was way too dark, and I got tired of it. I wanted something a bit more .. um... red-orange-ish, but unfortunately it wouldn't have matched with my current website colors, so I'll stick with this lighter version for now.

I don't fit the age requirement. :(
The age requirement is more of a guideline. I want young-looking people, since faeries and pixies (at least mine) are generally youthful. If you're in your 20s or 30s and you look young, by all means, send me the pictures. If you're in your 40s and have a great pose, send me the pictures -- I could use your pose as reference for one of the pictures.

Do you want boys or girls?
All pictures of any gender. I'm not making a girls-only or boys-only calendar.

Do you have photobucket/flickr/insert photo place here?
I now have a flickr account, which is "washed ink", and which I will try to check a few times a week. I don't have Photobucket.

Can I send you links instead of attachments?
Go ahead! If you have deviations you want to use, you can send me links to them. All I ask is that you e-mail me the information (links or attachments), so I can put it all in this handy folder I have. Also, PLEASE include who you are, so I can properly give you credit if I use your pictures!

Is this public so I can send it to my friend?
The calendar project entries will be public, so feel free to link anyone to them. :)

Firstly, the picture. >>

As part of my New Year's resolution, I'm going to make an actual faerie calendar for 2009 (it's gonna take me that long to finish 11 more pictures of this quality). They'll be for sale, either through cafepress or deviantArt or both.

Why am I putting this here?

I'm actually extending an offer to you all. ^^ If you have a child or a friend (can be anywhere between 2 and 17 years old) who you think would make a good faerie/pixie-ish character like the one here, you can send me 2-3 pictures of them as reference and I will consider them for the calendar.

Stuff you need to know!
(please read all of this if you want to submit something!)

- I need good quality pictures. They don't have to be large, but they do have to be crisp, clear-cut images (no fuzzy pictures, no tiny family snapshots, no weird lighting, etc). As an example, here is the image I used as reference for this painting, which I found on gettyimages.com. Nice lighting, good colors, and that's its original size, so like I said, it doesn't have to be huge!

- You need to own the rights to the pictures. As in, you or your family/friends need to have taken them, they need to be of someone you know / are related to, or someone who has signed a model release form, and you need to give me permission to use them as reference for this calendar, which I will be selling.

- If I pick your images (and hopefully I'll make enough on these calendars to do this!) my goal is to give you a free calendar! So that's 10 potential calendars I'll be giving away for free (since one is this gettyimages girl, and one will be my daughter). If I don't get a lot of sales on this and can't afford it, I'll have a vote for the most popular image, and the most popular will get a free calendar.

- You'll also get a free large .jpeg image of the painting I create with your image. :) This is your chance to get a free fully rendered painting from me!

- This is an ongoing submission process. I don't expect to be done with this calendar until September/October of 2008, so you have at least six months to find, take and give me these pictures. There is no limit to how many I will accept! If you want to submit 50 pictures, please go ahead! Remember the rules above, though, you have to OWN these pictures AND give me the right to use them as reference for sales purposes.

- You can e-mail me the pictures. My e-mail address is art@inqy.in. Please use the subject "calendar pictures." Also, please include your claim to ownership of the pictures and your permission to use them as reference. :) If I see neither, I will delete the pictures without looking at them.

Firstly, the comic.

I rearranged the shops. There are now three -- a freebie shop, a points shop, and an exclusive shop (because hey, some things have to be expensive >>). Anyone who previously helped me with eversails can still get anything from all three shops. I'll be doing pirate freebies when things slow down for me a bit.

Tutorials! My next tutorial will be a flesh-tone thing. I might do that today, if I finish all my homework in time... otherwise it might have to wait a week.

One of my classes finally ended, so I'll have a bit of free time for the next five weeks. I hope.

WA - the book?
I'm still working toward December as my publish-date, but this might take quite a bit longer, since I'm going back to school and I don't expect to have time to re-do the pages.

That's right, I'm re-drawing all of chapter 1, and some of chapter 2. This will not interrupt my update schedule (I refuse to let it), but it will take me awhile. The new artwork will only be available in the book. I'm also putting two never-before-seen mini-comics in the book (one featuring Alexander, the other I haven't decided yet), as well as a few full-page illustrations that aren't available on the site.

t-shirts.
Jack and Enoch will be the next t-shirt. I don't have a tentative date for this run of shirts, I might just go with cafepress since it's easier and I don't have to do a one-time-only thing.

WA will now be updated every Thursday, for as long as I can keep up that schedule. (School might get in the way for a few weeks, but I'll do what I can to update regularly.)

Okay, my first graphic novel post in this community deserves some introduction.
