First of all, summer is upon us. Last year, we didn't do MBP WTF BBQ because the admin team had just fallen apart and come back together. This year, we are in less of a hectic place, and Craven will gracefully let us trash his place once again.

And now for the athlete admin:
We had long discussions about this one. Including really difficult ones about the enter_mbp crew. These guys are doing an excellent job - and will probably never get the recognition they deserve for it. I suppose that should prepare them well for the admin job, right? The reason we don't want to shift either of them from registration to administration is that it is so damn hard to find reliable people for the former, and it is virtually impossible to do both at the same time.
For now, we have two prospects for athlete admin: Martin St-Louis (five9onthebooks) and Patrick Sharp (patsharp). Both of them have been around for a while, both are really easy to talk to and active within the community. It seems like they are both well liked and respected. You can vote for one or both.
Now, Marty told us that he had a falling-out with the guy who runs must_be_hockey. This was years ago, and we believe him when he says he has grown out of this petty fight.

Hi MBP!
The very lovely Penelope Cruz just sent me an e-mail informing me of the fact that very few people have volunteered to help out with the ceremony for the MBP Awards this year. Unless we can get some more people to offer to help out with various tasks such as chaperoning and presenting within the next few days, we'll probably just say fuck it and go ahead and simply post the list of winners in a boring and plain text format. What would you prefer? Should we even bother taking the time to attempt to put together a somewhat decent ceremony? Are any of you even interested in attending? Please let us know in the comments! I know people are getting impatient and I, too, am excited and curious to see who won so let's really make something happen, and soon at that.
