We've been planning a Labor Day trip to see my family in north MS, and we're still leaving in the morning - but now Hurricane Gustav is threatening to rather derail our plans. If the storm keeps coming as it is, we'll probably end up coming home early to put up our storm shutters, otherwise prepare the house, gather up our pets, and hit the road again for evacuation purposes. But it's okay! I just wanted to let everybody know that if you see my area getting battered by Gustav and don't hear from me for a while, don't worry - one thing I can promise you is that we'll be evacuated by then. I'm keeping my laptop with me, I'll try to keep y'all updated when I can. Aaaaand now I have time for about four hours' sleep before I'll be getting up for our road trip! Stay dry, lovelies.

Mini update.. Actually it turned into a rant!! [29 Aug 2008|11:19pm] charlie_100 [ mood | bitchy ] [ music | "Famous Last Words" ~ My Chemical Romance ] Ok so I finally got enrolled at the college! They put me in for night time GCSE classes for my Maths and Science resits!! And I've taken up Soicology as my new AS thingy!! They were trying to get me to pay.. Me? With no income whatsoever pay for education? Me paying for anything is a laugh.. But this almost made me cry!!! I had asked 4 times and was told it would be free!! So you can imange how much stress it was hearing that it would cost 600 and something pounds.... I moaned at them saying it was unfair I had to pay with no income! And they asked if I was claiming benefits!! No, I'm not claiming anything! No income means no benefits.. Durr..!! And they were like, if you were on benefits you'd get it free!! Like WTF? I was like well shouldn't it be a good thing I'm not on benefits and coping just! And how the hell do you except me to pay for my fees.. Magic the money up! If I could magic money up I wouldn't need to be here, would I? Finally it got though to them that I wasn't able to pay the fees and they said I couldn't get free. I have too many A levels to get it free! :O So I got sent back to the hall and ask to fill out 3 appilcation forms. Two requesting a gant to get my fees paid and one requesting an ALG.. which I got told is like EMA! I don't think I'll get the ALG because, just like with the fees, I have too many A Levels... I just want a pair of fucking Kennedy's and a teaching career!!! I can't believe some people think that's too much too ask!! view 3 // post a comment

I have off Monday too and it's a paid holiday, awesome. I really needed this 4 day weekend because work has been killing me. Jamie left for Cali today with a one-way ticket. I don't know what she's thinking, honestly. I told her that if she doesn't come back I'll never forgive her. We were supposed to go out drinking Wed again at TCs but I didn't even go because honestly? I can't babysit her ass. The girl is a drunken mess since she broke up with her boyfriend and she has to talk to every single guy she encounters, which in turn makes my boyfriend mad at me when these guys start to hit on me too. Not good. I broke half of my foot last Saturday night lol We made 120+ jello shots, killed a bottle of SoCo, 2 bottles of wine... omg, it was terrible. Between, like, 6 of us. And Gary was outside in this free standing hammock thing that apparently has a metal bar under it. I was trying to get him off of it and I just wound up as hard as I could to kick him off of it from underneath and all I hit was the metal bar. Oh.My.God. It knocked the freaking wind out of me. It made a ringing noise and I went down. And yep, my big toe and second toes are still black and blue and swollen. I'm limping and can't put shoes on, I can barely get my flip flops on. Pretty much broken. Stupid drinking injuries :x Got my nails did again today with a new set and they look so freaking cute I can't stop looking at them lol And hi, my hair is almost down to my ass now. Even in a pony tail. I love it. Looks like extensions, awesome. Wish I was in KC right now... boo :( post a comment

what a week [29 Aug 2008|05:39pm] sweetgirl26 [ mood | chipper ] [ music | Hero/Heroine - Boys Like Girls ] First entire week on college. Caotic. LOL For Proyectual, I had to draw a lot! And I still haven't finish, and I have to give it over Monday. As well, it seems now we have exams :S On Monday too and I have no idea how I'm going to do xD I cried a lot too. But then I realized that no matter how hard Proyectual (or Drawing next year) could be, I have to do it. There's no other way to enter to my career, and I know that if I don't do it, I'll regret my entire life. Last semester when I drop I think I was pretty much fooling myself. And now I know what I have to do. I know it's not easy. But the funny thing is that even I feel terrible for not being able to draw, I still feel excited. Yesterday I saw this ceremony of graduation and I was like: "God, will I make it that far?". Then, I got all excited and said to myself "I have to do it, I want to get into the career". I just have to fight a little bit more :) Out of nowhere: I love Boys Like Girls, and New Found Glory, but you already knew that :D LOL I like Brit music, but also this type of music...by the way, what it is? Punk? Emo music? Help? XD La primera semana entera en la facultad. Caotico. LOL Para Proyectual tuve dibujar mucho! Y todavia no termine, y lo tengo que entregar el lunes. Tambien, parece que ahora tenemos parcial :S El lunes tambien y no tengo idea como voy a hacer xD Llore mucho tambien. Pero despues me di cuenta que por mas que Proyectual (o Dibujo el año que viene) sea muy dificil, tengo que hacerlo. No hay otra forma de entrar a la carrera, y se que si no lo hago, me voy a arrepentir toda mi vida. El ultimo cuatrimestre cuando deje creo que me estaba engañando a mi misma. Y ahora se que tengo que hacer. Se que no es facil. Pero lo gracioso es que aunque me sienta mal por no poder ser capaz de dibujar, aun asi me siento ansiosa. Ayer vi una entrega de diplomas a la gente que se graduo y yo me decia: "Dios, voy a llegar tan lejos?". Despues me entusiasme y me dije "Lo tengo que hacer, quiero entrar en la carrera". Solo tengo que pelear un poco mas :) De la nada: Amo a Boys Like Girls, y a New Found Glory, pero eso ya lo sabian :D LOL Me gusta el Brit, pero tambien este tipo de musica...a proposito, que seria?
