Welcome to The Music Box, a music rotation that has been in existence since the mp3 rotation trend began. The original mp3 rotation, created on January 18, 2003, first existed as a simple site featuring three songs that were rotated every two weeks. As time progressed, the simple site soon became too complicated and time consuming to keep updated, so I decided to be trendy and move it over to livejournal. After making the move, I also decided to expand my horizons as far as the genres of music that I posted. While The Music Box will still continue to be mostly asian-pop based, there will be various songs of other genres likely mixed in.


At this time, there are two music posters: [info]azurer and [info]ouiii. Between the two of us, we try to keep the rotation updated, but sometimes we slip up a bit xD;




The rules here are pretty simple. They're just like they've always been.

1) Please delete these mp3s off of your computer within 24/48 hours. If you like what you hear, support the artist by purchasing their CDs off of Yesasia, Annyoung, Amazon or
at your local CD store.
2) Please don't hotlink the files. Pretty much a given, I think ;)
3) It's very much appreciated if you leave a comment. It doesn't have to be an essay or anything, just let us know if you downloaded/tell us what you think.
4) If you're an LJ user and like what you hear, please join the community!



The Music Box was created by me ([info]azurer) on January 18th, 2003. The name came to me when I suddenly got Ayumi Hamasaki's "Hanabi" stuck in my head. There's a little melody at the beginning that sounds like a music box, hence the name, The Music Box 8D! Since then this rotation has moved twice, from my original domain to any-otherday.org, and then again to livejournal.
