music_pirates is one of the first music-sharing communities on LJ for people into Industrial, EBM, Darkwave, Goth, Synth, and Metal of all genres. All entries are Friends Only. You will have to join the community in order to see recent posts. Make sure to read the rules before joining.

The Rules:

1. Do not under any circumstances personally attack or insult a member of this community because you disagree with their taste in music. It will not be tolerated and you will be banned. This is an elitist-free zone. Politely suggest "better" music to check out or keep it to yourself.

2. This isn't a bluegrass, country, or pop rock community. Uploading or requesting Puddle of Mudd or Celine Dion, etc., is unacceptable. There's other communities for that. Looking at the Interests should give you a good idea what this place is about.

3. Members are encouraged to use tags and to keep all entries Friends Only. Regarding leftovers: if you're directing us to your journal for downloads, please don't tag the artists we could care less about. We at one point had Lindsay Lohan, Carrie Underwood, and Shania Twain in our tags because of posts like these.

Also, when posting uploads, describe what the artist sounds like or what genre they are.

We don't ban people over petty shit, so relax and don't worry about it.

First of all, the founder of this community, emetic, is now viralmalice.

jaisonlunaris and I haven't been very good mods, but I plan on changing that in the next few weeks. So far I've cleaned up the member list and took down the unnecessarily long Info I wrote a year ago. If it wasn't for anthrazit, isuxatlife18 and a few other active members here, this place would be very dead. You guys are awesome.

Now for the questions:

Is there anything about this community you wish to change? Is the current layout okay for now? Any bands I should add to the Interests? Suggestions are welcome.

I was unable to upload any music today due to the slow internet at my dad's. I promise I'll have some next time. Anyhow, I wanted to notify the mods that I'll be gone for a little over a week and apologize that I will not be able to remain active during that time. I won't be back until sometime on the 25th.
