1. All entries should be "friends only." This is due to the fact that sharing this music online is technically illegal, and this way, at least we're only sharing among friends. If I see public entries, I'll make them friends only.


2. Post songs as often as you like, but remember that if you post too often, people won't be able to download and listen to all of your selections.


3. Upload your songs to your own web space. If you don't have ample hosting space, email me and we can figure something out. I've got tons of space, but I don't want it to be jeopardized. =)


4. Link your songs using the HTML coding for a link. Most of the LJ clients have this option.


5. Name your songs in the manner "Artist - Song Name.mp3" You can have albums or track numbers and stuff in there, too, but nothing like "dumdedum.mp3" if it can be avoided. Exceptions will be made, of course, from time to time.


6. If you download something from the iTunes music store, it's gonna be encrypted and no one else will be able to listen to it, so either burn it to a CD and then re-rip it as an mp3, or don't share it.


7. Tell us why you're posting the song. Memories associated with the song? Favorite lyrics? Try not to just post a link. Likewise, feel free to start up a discussion using the comments. That's why this community is here!
