Hi! This is my first post here, so I'm a little nervous. I wanted to join this community because I love the Mushi-shi anime so much, and I've also heard good things about the manga.

I finally got my June issue of Afternoon. Here's a scan of the page that says that there are only 2 more chapters of Mushishi for us to look forward to... ;_;

Sorry I don't have time to translate the whole thing right now, but maybe ya'll can pool together a translation while I'm an work? XD;;

In other news, I read through the Mushishi chapter included in this issue (Chapter #46, "Kaoru Yami"), and was able to get about 85% of it, and it is GOOD. ;o; It's probably my favorite chapter of Mushishi to have come out that has so little Ginko in it. It's a very simple story, but it has a really eerie, awesome feel... And daaaaang, Urushibara just keeps getting better at drawing people all the time; the main guy was such a cutie~♥

Hello. I've been making some graphics (icons, banners) from Mushishi artwork, but I've trouble finding good quality large scans of the coloured artwork. If anyone has such scans, or knows where to get them, I'd be very grateful. At the moment I'm mainly after a full HQ version of this image.

...I can't find an English site to show ya'll, but it's been posted in several Japanese fanartist's blogs, so it's definitely true. I'll be able to see for myself after I get my copy of Afternoon at the end of this week, too...

The manga is going to officially stop serialization soon.

I still can't get details on when/what chapter number exactly yet, but maybe you guys are more fluent in Japanese than me and can tell us from those links up there? It's a lot of rambling and ranting Japanese to sift through, all I got that it was either going to end in 'month 10' (i.e. October), or on the 10th volume.

*sniff* But seriously....oh man....it's really ending. It's really really ending. What are we going to do We need the recent chapters to be scanlated 'cause Del Rey is releasing them so slowly~ WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN TO GINKO IN THE END omg I wish Tanyuu would show up once more And then I dunnno it probably is asking too much to have a Ginko-centered last chapter, because that's not what this series is about, it's about the world and the flow of life but STILL I COULD SEE URUSHIBARA ADDRESSING THE TOKOYAMI ISSUE IN THE LAST STORY wouldn't that be crazy and awesome and sad but then my fanfic I'm writing would kind of lose its meaning and I would give up writing it but still like I WANT MORE GINKO, URUSHIBARA, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE oh man oh man why is it ending now, why oh whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

....It was an amazing manga, Urushibara-sensei. Thank you so much for giving us this breath-taking and beautiful story. I think you've impacted many lives, both in and outside of Japan.
