Welcome to Muse BSides. A muse writing community surrounded by the concept of using songs for inspiration to fiction. Membership here is geared mainly to coincide with already pre-existing muse communities that allow interaction. This community is simply a fun thing for you to tie into current storylines without pressure of meeting new variations of characters that you already know.
The concept is in part borrowed from ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) albumconcepts but is fashioned to be more open ended. We see it as an exercise in expanding your current plots and characters already established in other communities through music.
I N F O & G U I D E L I N E S
01. Membership is unlimited, as long as you can complete your soundtrack. Multiples of muses are encouraged and our membership list is divided up by the muse community you are basing your muse in. Example: If you already have Susie Smiles in Name That Muse where she has five children and eighty dogs, then you will create her soundtrack based on that pre-existing plot, and she will be listed under Name That Muse.
02. This is not an interactive community. Reading prompts of others is highly encouraged, but interaction is not needed. Since we are crossing over several different muse writing communities as well as private and smaller RPGs and opening this up to a variety of the exact same muses, we are clearly stating that we do not expect your muse to meet someone from a different muse community and interact. If that happens, we are happy for you, but it is not something that we created this community expecting to happen.
03. Drama is never welcome. Just because there are seven Susie Smiles in the community does not give anyone the right to say anything negative or degrading about any of them. Just because one Susie Smiles is going completely off canon and is not your cup of tea doesn't mean you have to be mean. We all love our muses, so if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
04. Musical Choices. Open ended. Music is the universal language, speak it fluently. Your muse may select an entire album from a single artist. An entire catalog from a single artist. You can create a mix-tape from varying artists or a Greatest Hits from one artist. You can start a mix-tape today with five songs and build onto it as your character grows. If you aren't sure you can do it? Ask and we'll let you know!
05. Timelines. We know you are all starting this venture with every intention of completing your soundtrack. However should a few months go by without a track update? We'll give you a nudge, make sure you haven't forgotten us. If you need some time off? That's cool. If you've decided not to finish? We'll support you. Just keep us in the loop.
