“Your time is running out, Mr. Mulwray.”
Brennan stared at what Mason Eckhart was talking about. Stared at the stasis pods that contained his friends. It was work for Eckhart or they die. Really, the answer was so simple. Because he knew that if he worked for Eckhart, knew that if he turned against them… they’d come free him.
“Tick Tock Mulwray.”
He hated being rushed. Really he did. Hated it with a passion. But what was there that he could do. Really now…
“I’ll work for you, Mason. But they go first.”
The elemental noted one of the men coming towards him and he electrocuted the man. “Now, Eckhart.”
“Very well.” The older man states releasing the other members of Mutant X out of the stasis pods and had his men transport them out of GSA headquarters before turning to Brennan. “Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way.”
That merely got a smirk out of the mutant as he formed a tesla coil. He knew what way he chose. The hard way.
