| About: | Welcome to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) muggleicons! This is a(yet another) Harry Potter Icon Posting Community. Everybody's got rules, and so do we. Please read through these carefully, and only join if you're going to obey them.
LANGUAGE:
No chatspeak or sticky caps. (example: "hi wut r u doin? asl? cUd U mAk Me N iCoN pLzZz?") It's annoying, and hard to read. Also, I really don't like cursing. I'm not banning it, but please don't flood your posts with it. It just makes you sound un-educated and stupid most of the time. Also, correct punctuation and grammar is nice.
SPOILERS:
If you're making icons of soon-to-be released movies, ALL SPOILER ICONS MUST BE UNDER A CUT. Please label your post with a warning, something like "Spoilers in icons!" will suffice. Also, DO NOT post spoilers pertaining to the books or movies. This is very different than icons, which are images, as opposed to actual information. Any and all posts containing this will be deleted immediately and the user will get a warning. After that, if the user continues to post the material, he or she will be removed from the community.
POSTING ICONS:
When posting more than 3 (three) icons, please use the LJ-Cut tag.
Don't request icons. This is not an icon request community. There are tons of those on LJ. Contact the user if you like, in their personal journal.
Don't post bases, either. Again, this is not a base community.
CREDITING AND TAKING:
If you take any icons here, please credit the user who made them. You can do this many ways, but the easy way is to just put their username in the keywords, when you upload the icon.
Also, direct linking is frowned upon, and if you're cought doing it, you will be immediatly removed and banned from the community. It isn't hard to save icons to your own computer.
Please comment if you take icons. Some people don't care if you comment, but I do. It's really nice to know what people like, and what they don't.
MAKING ICONS:
If you use lyrics or quotes in your icons, please try and mention the artist and title of the song. Not necessary, but it's nice to know where any cool lyrics come from.
You MAY post slashy icons, such as Harry/Draco, Harry/Ron, Draco/Lucius, Hermione/Ginny etc. However, I don't want to see anything like Harry/Frodo or Dobby/Gollum. Don't merge two different movies. If you do, your post will be deleted, and you will be given one warning. (If you're really not sure if your icon is okay to post, email it to me along with your username, and I'll let you know.)
ASKING FOR HELP:
If you want to ask somebody how they do something, such as a certian border, or coloring effect, comment in the entry you saw the effect used in. Don't make a whole post out of it.
PLUGGING COMMUNITIES:
I don't care if you plug a community. However, there are guidelines for this as well.
-It has to be HP related.
-You must post icons with the plug. Don't dedicate an entire post just for plugging your community.
-You must be the moderator of the community. Don't plug someone elses' community!
-Make your plug brief. Just one mention of it is fine. Don't flood the post with 50 lines of your community!
