OI!!~ Welcome! This community is meant as a place for everyone in or near Montreal who finds an interest in alternative Japanese fashion in lifestyles in all their genres and sub-genres~
This is a place for those who made these styles part of their lives, but also for those who only wish to learn about them, in totality or in some aspects only. Whatever your motivation and wherever your interest comes from, you are welcome to share it with us.
This place also aims to make it easier for Japan-fans in Montreal to find and meet each other. You are all welcome to organize Japan-related meet-ups in Montreal and announce them in this community! This way, the community will grow, and we can convert more people to the wonders of Japan! *wow, this makes it sound like it's some kind of sect o_O;;*

Both English and French are fine.
However, if you write in French, it would be nice if you could post a translation.
If you are not able to translate, do not hesitate to ask a bilingual volunteer members.
You can also ask for a translation if you cannot understand an English post.

"Hello, my name is XXXXX, I like Japan, thanks, see you" will not be considered a pertinent introduction.
All introduction must be put under lj-cut!! Any who are not will be subject to the cruel and most painful sentence of me saying random mean comments about you!!

You are free to add any other information you would like, as long as it respects the other rules.
Pictures not larger than 300 x 400 are fine, but larger pictures, unless you have been given permission, shall be put under lj-cut to avoid stretching the page.
Extremely long posts shall also be placed under lj-cut ; with either:
a. the first few lines of the text and a "read more" cut
b. a cut titled after a short summary of what your post is about
All auctions and sales shall be placed under lj-cut and/or linked to an off-livejournal site (such as ebay or your personal site).

‡ Questions and discussions about the lifestyles and fashion styles. This includes people's reaction when they see you, how it affects your life, and so on.
‡ Shopping questions and tips related to the styles and interests; such as asking where to find something, or posting about sales you saw in a place that has cool clothes related to the styles or where they sell anime or other such stuff.
‡ Discussions about Japanese clothing brands.
‡ Discussions about homemade items and accessories.
‡ Discussion about meet-ups (both for planning and asking opinion, and for announcing them).
‡ Your personal items auctions and sales related to these styles or interests (please read the previous part about auctions and sales).
‡ Information about upcoming related events.
‡ A self-introduction when you join (please read the previous part about introductions).
Post related to a specific anime, manga or band will be tolerated for now, but there are thousands of communities specifically for these, so unless it is to organize a cosplay or a meet-up specially for these, please post in them rather than here.
‡ Promotion of your own community, even if related.
‡ Anything or any subject you are not sure might be related to the styles (a.k.a. anything you have a doubt about).
Please contact a moderator for permission.
‡ Anything not related in any way to the styles or interests.
‡ Disrespectful, vulgar or insulting posts and comments. *rude comments are reserved to the mods and only mods! and should not be taken seriously unless specifically said it's serious bizness*
‡ "I am better than thou" behaviour and LJ drama.
‡ Spam. (spam being unrelated comments and publicity)
‡ Abusive repeat posts
All faulty entries will be deleted.
The first time you disobey a rule will get you a warning, both public (in this page) and private (unless no mod is able to reach you).
The second time will remove your permission to post for 2 weeks.
The third time will remove your permission to post permanently.
If you post an entry requiring permission without asking first, you will get a minor warning.
While minor warnings will not affect your "warning count", moderators have the right to give you one full warning if you keep doing this, i.e. if you keep posting many other permission-needing entries without asking.
These entries will not be deleted.
If you are not sure if your entry is ok to be posted, contact a moderator first to avoid surprises.
Minor warnings will go forgotten after a month. 1st warning is good for 6 months, 2nd warning for a year, 3rd+banning is permanent.
