clothing for the butch MTF

Intro first, then I'll show you all how messed up my fashion world really is.

Name Anna
Age 31
Location Portland OR
Favorite clothing store/brand Cross Dress for Less  (ross)

Ok that aside.  I think I may be rather mixed here.

I have always leaned toward the skater chick, kinda gangsta, with a little hip hop look.  I identify F.  But really don't care to dress in the stereotypical FTM clothing.

I don't want to wear dresses.  I would rather my baggy, or at least comfortable Jeans, and a t-shirt.  I know as I continue to develop, the feminine traits that I aspire to have will shine through.  But as I am still obviously more M than F, I find it hard to balance my desire to be perceived feminine with my sense of "style"  as its often precieved as masculine.  I have tried the baggy pants, and tight tops, but I am still uncomfortable with my arms and prefer long sleeves.  So i try the tighter pants, and baggy tops like hoodies.  And I find this more comfortable for me, but as summer approaches, I have been finding it harder and harder to pick my morning wardrobe.

I know there has to be some transgirls out there that have gone through, or are going through this same predicament.  Please, please, please give me your tips.

Instant make-over!!!

I had the best day ever.

I ordered some hair on Friday and it was on my porch today-- INSANE!

I ended up talking to myself in the mirror and crying, I felt so pretty and like a real person. Insane.

Shoes to a good home...

I purchased a pair of white, Pleaser's Kiss 219 in a size 13. However, these 13's are more like an 11 as far as I can tell. I have 4 pairs of size 13 shoes and none of them have this problem. Sadly, Pleaser's does not accept returns and thus, neither does beverlyheels.com on this line of shoes.

I paid $45.99 for these shoes; the $36.00 + plus shipping of $9.99.

They have never been worn.

If you want these shoes, they are $36 + shipping, which is likely going to be less than $9.99. If you're local, there's no shipping!

Though if you want to make me feel better, pay me $45.99, but you don't need to. :)

I wanted to wear these at BayCon this weekend.

Bah.

Hi Everyone!

I joined a while ago, but haven't introduced myself.

Name: Kevin
Age:
42 (ouch!)
Location:
Washington D. C.
Favourite clothing store/brand:
I shop a lot at Old Navy, Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I have a lot of luck there. Online I like the sales at Victoria's Secret, Frederick's of Hollywood and 3wishes.com.

I enjoy dressing up and showing off. Especially at parties and BDSM/Swingers/Alternative Lifestyle conventions. Here's an outfit I just put together. The boots were $10 at Rugged Wearhouse, the tights were about $3 at Marshall's and the shorts were around $10 from I think TJ Maxx. The choker is vinyl and came as a set with kitten ears (I often wear ears when I dress up). Hope you like!

I'm Selling A Juicy Couture Sleeveless Vest for $100
(retails for $400)

A Juicy Couture Sleeveless vest that is navy blue in color with a light tan faux-fur inside as well as in the the hood. It is super warm and at a retail price of 400 dollars it is a real bargain.

It is a size Large it works well as a fall or winter coat , It is Reversible if you need it to be and very soft inside. I only received one because i was the top seller at my juicy couture store that i work at . it is in superb quality and only used once the day i got it .

Have fun and enjoy the long months of winter in the northeast in style, Pair with a long sleeve sweater or Henley underneath to finish off the look.

I figured a few of you ladies may really enjoy this jacket.  Remembering some of your pictures i know several of you have this taste in clothing. Unfortunatally I'm far to casual to to wear it because it is quite an amazing and spft vest.

Love,

P.S. I hioe this isn't against the rules, i just thought some of you ladies might enjoy the amazing jacket.

I pass fantastically well when my stylist layers my hair, but I'm not sure how to do it at home. My hair is normally very flat and lifeless. I got some mousse today and fooled around with it, but can't seem to replicate my stylist's results. Does anyone have any advice/instructions?

Got a favorite retailer for jewelry?

I'm not talking about Helzberg Diamonds or the Shane Company. No, I mean the smaller, more affordable stores where a big girl like me can get some shiny things.

While my wrists are far from fat, I am cursed with a large bone structure; my wrists are almost 8" around the outside and my neck is 18", so most necklaces I like are too small or just barely fit and are tight.

So, for all of you bigger girls out there, where do you find your pretties? Online, the mall, specialty stores?

GenderQueer Bags?

Hi Everyone,

I identify as GenderQueer. Most of the time I present as male, like for my job or shopping. But I'm SO sick of carrying all this stuff in my pockets. I also have a slim build and have been buying women's jeans because 1-they fit a lot better and 2-they are sexy and cute. Women's jeans tend to have really small pockets, if at all. And any bulges really stand out.

But I don't want to carry a real purse, because that would really clash. So I got to thinking that what I needed was a GenderQueer bag.

So far, I think a GenderQueer bag would be a messenger bag that could be carried by either a guy or a girl and not look out of place. Here are two that I have found so far. Does anyone have any other ideas or places to look for this type of bag? Basically a cute messenger bag.

These are both from Etsy.com, to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

I cannot believe I haven't asked this here...

Where do all of you big ladies get your regular shoes (i.e. not boots/heels)? I'm a size 14-15 in women's and I just want a nice pair of Mary Janes, something like these. I've gone to tons of websites and stores, and the only shoes they seem to make that large is all drag queen stuff. I just want me some flats! Is there a secret place?

New Shoes!

I was browsing a thrift store across town I had never been to before, when I found these. Perfect fit, 8 bucks.

They come up to mid-calf, but I always wear boot cut pants anyway. I need cuter/longer socks to wear them with a skirt.

hair dying? :\

My hairdresser claimed to have trouble dying part of my hair today saying she's never encountered this before, and suggested that it was b/c of the HRT.

o_O

Has nebody had this experience before? Is that possible? :\ Do hormones make hair undyeable or something?

My hair is currently messed up b/c of this and I'm annoyed at her... >:\ I'm wondering if this is just an excuse or if my hair has just become undyeable (I've had it dyed successfully before, so I know it SHOULDN'T be undyeable).

Thx >.>;;
