    Samhain
Samhain will be held at Dorman Lake this saturday November 4th from about 11 until sunday morning. Ritual will be whenever it gets dark and we feel like having it. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come. There will be no cost, but donations (about $10) are accepted so that we will have enough for beltane. COme if you can, and bring anyone you can drag with you, but please let me know if you are coming! There are some issues with registering on the website like we normally do, so comment to this or email me at ncm18 @ msstate.edu. Also let me know if you need directions.
Dinner will be potluck as usual, just make sure you know what is in it in case someone is allergic.

    Hope to see you saturday!

    Hi, guys and gals!

I'm going to be making (hopefully) soul cakes for our Samhain potluck, and I need to know if any of you have FRUIT allergies (or fruits you really find disgusting), as the recipes I've found call for dried (unspecified) fruit.

    Blessed be. :)

    Me again....
We have a facebook group now, its under WPSA, go figure....

Go join if you are on facebook. I invited the people on my friends list, but i only recently started messing with it so that isnt many. If i missed you go join. It has closed membership so i have to approve you. I did that so that everyone can see the description, but not everyone can see what we post within the group. I figure we are better off this way, because i know alot of us are a little paranoid, with reason.

    Have a great fall break.

*Edit: I am slowly but surely attempting to hunt down old members and people that might be interested in wpsa. We are up to 13 members already! If anyone knows about somebody that i missed on facebook, please let me know, or let that person know so they can join too.

    Activities
I picked up some forms from mary celeste about discovery day and the halloween carnival. The carnival is the 27th and i need to tell them what activities we are planning before i can turn in paperwork. We can do the caramel apples like usual, but i really want to do an activity too.... So what do we want to do for this thing? Tarot again? Any suggestions? Please? Dont make me beg..... ;)
Also- Discovery day is october 14th. This is a saturday. Its mostly for incoming freshman and their parents to see what kind of clubs etc are offered here and i think it would be a good opportunity for us to find new members. Obviously it wouldnt affect anything until next year, but even so i think it would be a good idea. Maybe some current students will be walking around and we can grab them too. At the very least i think we should show up just because we can. I am tired of being a club that hardly anyone knows about. Let me know if anyone would like to go. It wont be that much effort.... you know you want to..... Dont make me assign volunteers people. Alternatively if you hate the idea then fine... let the baptist student union and campus crusade recruit the freshman.

    Meeting: 9/27
    Hi, all!

Meeting tomorrow night to discuss healing (which, if you leave it to me, will be Reiki).

7PM, meet on the steps. We'll go from there, per usual.

Just to get a jump (Because frankly, I'm tired of not getting this done until the day before): Next week's topic will be herbs... Fun stuff.

    See you tomorrow evening!

Meeting for 9/20: Runework... that is, provided I can teach myself the topic in 48 hours. ...okay, so technically, I've had the last eleven years or so to learn. Bring a pencil/pen/writing utensil!!

We'll get together on the YMCA building's porch (not the steps! Those who have been around understand the distinction) @ 7PM, per usual.

    Hope to see you there!

    Meeting, 9/13 -- Candle Magick
Hi, all... Just a note about Wednesday's meeting: Candle Magick.

As always, we'll meet up at the steps above the post office @ 7PM, then we'll head over to the Chapel of Memories courtyard... We'll probably go over to the far side, though, to avoid the evil sprinkler (just in case we run late).....

    Hope to see you there.

    ACK!! Sorry so late!!
Definitely not the way I'd intended to get things started.... Nevertheless, first WPSA meeting of the Fall 2006 semester will be TOMORROW night, 8/30!! We'll get together around 7PM, at the Post Office/Old YMCA building, as always.

Tell a friend, tell a complete stranger, just tell someone!

Hope to see at least a few of you there...

    All right, y'all....
Some people might think this is early. Others might just think I'm looking for a distraction from programming stuff.

Both could possibly be right. =P

Regardless, it's time to start thinking about the fall semester! Why? Because darn it, I am NOT doing all the work, and I am NOT getting yelled at again.

Besides, people keep saying they want more stuff going on, and that takes planning. Terrible, isn't it?

So... POST IDEAS, at the very least. We've got about five weeks before the new semester begins, which means six weeks before the standard first meeting of the semester.

Okay, enough of that... For now........

BTW, someone's already contacted me for info about the group... and noted that the website is seriously out of date. So be thinking about that, too....................

    Blessings!

    Midsummer Festival
Hi, all... Just thought I'd pass along info on a Midsummer Festival up in Lebanon, TN (yeah, that other place where I live):

Tribes of the Cumberland Midsummer Gathering
    June 23-25; Lebanon, TN

    Website: http://www.geocities.com/jewelsofthemoon/midsummer.html

Pre-registration is going on NOW until June 5th and is $25/person. Groups of 5 or more are $20 each. At the gate, it's $30/person... apparently there are hardship passes available, but I don't know the details at the moment.

I can probably answer a number of questions, but others will have to be addressed by one of the Tribes' members. I've worked with at least some of these guys before... They're a fun group to be around.

Julie's the main organizer, and she can be reached at jewelsofthemoon@hotmail.com.

    Have fun, y'all.

Hi there, guys and dolls! Just your friendly neighborhood vice president dropping in for a quick request:

Ideas for meetings. And someone who can actually lecture or discuss the idea. We have...I believe four or five (Kit, how many exactly?) meetings that need topics. Our ideas run out March 29th, with Drew's lecture on Tai Chi.

This was mentioned at, I believe, the Voodoo meeting on the 8th, but no new topics crept up.

    Wicca 101 Outline, 2/1/06 - 2/8/06
Okay, because of LJ's lack of decent HTML recognition and my file-host really despising HTML files, I uploaded the wicca101.doc file to Deathwinds as is. Hopefully, though, it'll automatically convert to RTF for someone without Word. Augh.

    Spring 2006 Schedule
Hi there, guys and dolls! We've already had our first lecture meeting of the new semester, but here's the new meeting schedule anyway:

    2/1 Wicca 101, pt. 1
    2/8 Wicca 101, pt. 2
    2/15 Media Perceptions/Current Events
    2/22 Circle Mechanics
    3/1 Astral Projection
    3/8 Voodou
    3/22 Reiki
    3/29 Tai Chi

ALSO! I'd really appreciate it if everyone who's coming to Imbolc would post what they're bringing to the potluck. Bear is bringing broccoli & cheese casserole and eclair pudding, and...depending on whether we have more dishes or desserts, I'm bringing either cottage pie or bread and butter pudding.

    Apologies
As some of you noticed in my personal journal, I've been having some major problems. My parents think, and I agree, I need to have some intense therapy before I try school again. Sadly, this means I will not be returning to MSU in the spring. This means, of course, that I cannot be president.

I will gladly help with what I can from up here in Missouri, including updating the website. If my help is still wanted/needed.

I'm very sorry that I have let all of you down. Please realize that I did not plan this and when I accepted the presidency I had every intention of returning in the spring.

    Party Stuffs!
Please reply to this message with what you're bringing to the party.

Yes, I know Marti made a post about it, but some people's friends lists go really quick, so this is simply bringing it back up.

I'm bringing some sort of chocolate snack cake thing. ... Look, at least it's not jambalaya.
