FULL SIMS: Seth and Alice

These sims would've been uploaded sooner had I only had the free time to continuously work on them. As it turned out, I was able to devote only a few minutes here and there between the time I thought of making them, all the way up to last weekend.

Some of the preview pics were taken after I had reinstalled Numenor's Scriptorium, something I did recently, and which also includes GunMod's Radiance 2.2 light mod. Sharpen was applied only once to the pictures where Seth and Alice are outdoors. But, I also included a handful of manipulated pictures where my sims are wearing different hairstyles and clothing --- just to illustrate other possibilities. I used Bon Voyage Body Shop to make these sims. I mention this because there is concern about a BV Body Shop bug (thank you, debbycus, for the heads-up!), which you can read all about here. Because of that, I followed the thread's instructions for checking the three packages I'm uploading today. I'm happy to report that they're all okay.

Notes: There are two versions of Seth: Seth00 has facial hair from Bon Voyage while Seth01 is clean-shaven.
EPs Required: Bon Voyage (Seth's Facial Hair), Nightlife (Seth's outfit), and University (Seth's hair).

Progress Report On Those 2 Sims

Important 2, 21 August 2007: Just to be on the safe side, I'm going to add Seasons to the list of required eps even though there are no Seasons buy/build mode elements in this house.

Important: For those of you who do not have Seasons, please let me know whether or not the house and lot are working fine. I ask only because of this thread at the official BBS (I decided to ask the question there after jessicus asked me the question here). :)

I built this for my favorite trio, but I think it's best used for a bachelor and one guest, since it is on a small lot. I didn't include trees because I have Seasons installed and didn't want to risk it.

Furnished: Yes. Except for the recolor I did of the Pineapple painting from Nightlife, all furniture and appliances courtesy of EA Games & Maxis.

The top deck can be used as a workout area or for playing instruments. However, if you have Seasons, you might want to monitor their body temperature levels since this is considered an outdoor area.

The split-level thing I did here seems to act as a natural room delineator. I found this out after I had Emil and The Wife woohoo while Kit was on his bed and Kit didn't bat an eyelash (see previous pics).

Painting Recolors: Lovers in Black and White

EDIT 11 AUG 2007: New Olive Peynter version now available for download! See details below. I also changed the preview and teaser pics.
EDIT: I need to redo the Olive Peynter version because I got stupid with the cropping (how could I have missed that???). Look to this post later on for the new file. *roll eyes* :p

Same image, but in two different formats, one of which requires Nightlife (please see preview picture for details).

Requirements

1. The "Pineapple" recolor requires Nightlife.
2. The recolor of Olive Penyter's City SkyScape is based on a base game painting and so does not require an expansion pack.
3. As usual, CEP is needed for these recolors to appear in your game.

Other Notes

I don't have any lighting mods in the game, but Seasons causes random light changes, depending on the season and/or weather. Except for Clarify and Sharpen, I didn't apply any special effects to the screenshot used for both the teaser & preview pic. This time, I took the shot on an empty lot, which seems unaffected by any weather/seasonal effects.

Adult Male Suit & Sweater Combo

A dark suit for your adult males. I removed the shirt and tie from a base game suit and replaced it with the texture from the female sweater dress I made (2nd version). Preview pictures are very large; you'll need to click on them more than once to see them at full size (good for examining detail). Save for Sharpen and Clarify, I did not apply any fancy effects to the images.

This is the suit I recolored.

This picture and the next two were taken outside when the light was warmer (I have Seasons).

I included the sweater dress ver. 02 in the pic to show where I had gotten the texture from.

These last three pictures show what the suit looks like indoors. I didn't have any lights on at the time.

Sleeveless Sweater Dress (based on V02)

Here's a sleeveless version of the second version of my sweater dress. To view the preview pics, please click on the teaser picture. Save for said teaser, the pictures had only Clarify and Sharpen applied to them. Because they're extremely large images, you'll need to click more than once to see them at full size.

Notice regarding the AF Black sweater dress and boots

Although I like a really dense black when it comes to this specific dress, I realize that others aren't going to feel the same way. That being the case, I'm going to make a different version of this dress when I have time this coming weekend. ETA 01 AUGUST 2007: Although I like a really dense black when it comes to this specific dress, I realize that others aren't going to feel the same way. That being the case, I'm going to make a different version of this dress when I have time this coming weekend. I'm sure this isn't the first time for this combo, but I wanted one for Emil's wife and decided to make it instead of searching all over the Internet. Anywho, save for the teaser picture, the three preview pictures behind the cut were not manipulated. If the light appears different, it's because of the changing light of Seasons and because two of them were taken indoors (I don't have any lighting mods installed anymore).

Other notes: Classified under Everyday. This is the blackest black I could achieve; the stripes from the original Maxis outfit are visible only if you're up close.

MSR Plaid PJs (Adult Males)

I'm slowly adding most of my old creations from other venues to this site so that those who are visiting it for the first time will have the convenience of downloading them from one place.

Requirements: None, because I recolored and retextured the pajama bottoms from the base game. They were also made before Pets came out. Comes in 5 colors: violet, red, blue, pink, and acid green. Can also be used for sleepwear and gym. My usual TOS applies.

Only the teaser was manipulated. The preview pics behind the cut are the ones with Clarify and Sharpen (1x) applied to them.

Old Japanese Movies Posters (Set of 8)

Last night's visit to AllPosters.com reminded me of some paintings recolors I had done way back in late 2005. Anywho, these recolors use the Maxis "Pineapple" by Lynn D'Saye painting mesh found in Nightlife. You will also need CEP for the recolors to show properly. Usual TOS applies, thanks. :)

Well, I got sidetracked again, so instead of the house download, I have alien eyes instead (the house and its pics are ready, but I haven't gotten around to putting together everything).

It's still undergoing some fine tuning, but if all goes well, I may have another house available for download soon. The fully furnished house will include a little bit of this and a little bit of that from all the expansion and stuff packs (including the Holiday Mini-pack).

I'm also thinking of adding some of my older downloads (the ones I had submitted to other sites) to this site. This will take some time to do because I'd like to change the preview pictures for them.

ETA: Eros was a result of my attempts to make a cousin for Kit.

Because I used Maxis hair from the Seasons expansion pack, you will need Seasons for this sim to display properly.

I play the game at a resolution of 1600x1200 and with the Radiance Light System installed. These pictures, which I took using Fraps, underwent Clarify and Sharpen (once) only --- no fancy manipulation applied. The house used in the screenshots is a Maxis Seasons house, with Maxis content only.

MSR Recolor of Maxis Red Plaid Skirt & Black Boots

Thanks to SuSim and the kind folks over at the Federation For Free Sims Sites, I was able to fix Maxis' alpha so that the shadows on the legs no longer show; I was then able to proceed with the simple recolor without a hitch.

Anywho, just one article of clothing for now, I'm afraid, because I'm in the middle of fixing my game after the reinstall I had to do over the weekend. As always, thanks for downloading. :)

Details:

1. Bottom and shoes only. The black shirt The Wife is wearing is a simple recolor (but without retexturing) I did of a Maxis top and is something I'm still working on to make better, which is why it's not included in the download.
2. No mesh needed because this is a recolor of a Maxis mesh.

Lavender Lullaby: 1 Wall, 2 Floors

I've finally remembered to package the wall and floors from my Lavender Lullaby house. To see them in action, please visit this gallery.
