Transferring data from...
I have the latest version of Firefox and it seems like whenever I go from site to site, I see something in the lower left hand corner that says "transferring data from..." and it lists a whole bunch of weird things (website addresses?). I haven't tried it in IE yet. I was wondering if anyones know what it means, and if it's something only in Firefox. I am going to cross post this in a few communities, so if you see it more than once, I apologize.

Here are a few examples:

"transferring data from direct.shots.com"
"transferring data from ishouldvebeenanastronaut.com"

Websites in addition to their own data also load data from other websites for pictures...ads...contests...video...etc...So what you're seeing is all the elements of the page you have navigated to loading up.

Also depends on your connection speed...the slower the connection is, the more of those "transferring data from..." messages you'll see while the browser finishes loading each page. On fast connections I don't see so many of those messages since pages load really fast. On my wireless connection I see more of them and they take longer to go away since my wireless is quite a bit slower.

This can be turned off and on by selecting through 'View' in the upper toolbar region, then selecting or deselecting...
