The only differance between porn and art is the lighting is better in art...
Shortbus is a movie about a guy who can't get his wife off, a gay couple looking for a third, a creepy guy with binoculars, a dominatrix and sex. All the sex in this movie is real. The plot is about people wanting to have gay sex. Sex is used to thell the story about what happens to people when they have that sex. Everything about this movie is sex, whether it's gay, kinky, bad, or autoerotic.

The Lord of the G-Strings: The Femaleship of the String is a movie that parodies one of the greatest stories of all times. This movie also has sex (some of the lesbial variety) however, none of the sex is real. The sex is used in parody to bring about comedic plot points and sometimes just for viewing pleasure.

Which one is porn? Which one is art?

    The Adventures of Ford Fairlane
It's an often overlooked classic of the modern cinema. I can't think of any other movie that typifies its setting so succinctly. It's about the trashy 80's, and look at the cavalcade of wonders that it trots out: Andrew Dice Clay, Vince Neil, Gilbert Gottfried, Ed O'Neil (Al Bundy), Robert Englund (Freddy Kreuger), a plethora of scantily clad ditzy blondes, frat parties, heavy metal music, fast cars, motorcycles, and to top it all off, they bring Wayne Newton out to slease it up even more! BRILLIANT!!

For debate - Does this film deserve more recognition? Should we:
    1) Give it a retroactive oscar nomination in next year's academy awards,
    2) Release a 6 disc DVD box set packed with enough extras to satisfy even the most insatiable dice-fan,
    3) Re-release it theatrically and force everyone at gunpoint to go see it every night of its run,
    or
    4) Let it continue on its journey into obscurity and never mention its name again.

The Fox Movie channel has dropped a series of Charlie Chan Mysteries from it's schedule after a minority group protested the fact that Chan was played by a caucasian man in "yellow face".

However, was this any different than having a white man played by Will Smith in Wild Wild West?

It should also be noted that the actor portraying Charlie Chan did so in a tasteful manner and made him look intelligent. Unlike Will Smith's protrayal of Jim West as a womanizing cowboy.

    Resolved:
Akira Kurosawa will never be the greatest director on the planet because his films used that nutty language.

Ok,so this may be a gay thing to debate, but still...
    The movie Titanic.
Im just curious as to hear everyones opinion of it. If you liked it and why,and if you hated it,why?
    Good/Bad cinematography?
    Cohesive plot?
    Good/Bad special effects?
    Actor's portrayal of characters?

This had been a major topic of debate between me and a few friends.I just am curious as to what exactly people find good or bad about the movie in general. What causes *some* people to despise it,or what causes *some* to love it so much, and compare it to a Gone With the wind-type classic.

    The movie Labrynth.

A lot of people like this movie, but what they fail to see is that it has a subtle anti-homosexual message.

David Bowie stars in this movie as the Goblin King. Now, as most people will agree, David Bowie isn't the poster boy for being hetero. Now, as the Goblin King, his job is to kidnap you little children, then convert them into goblins using his horible music and cod peice, making them into little freaks.

Now, I say that the message behind this movie, is that you shouldn't let your children around homosexuals, or they will try to make them gay and turn their life upside down.

It also makes one believe that all gays only like children, as that is the favored target of the goblin king.

    What say you?

The greatest movie ever is Hard Core Logo.

Failing that, it is the greatest mockumentary about a Canadian punk band.
