[+] subjects. Anything goes, practically, except for anime/manga, because there are a lot of 100-icon communities around for those already. So, basically, allowed claims cover movie and TV series, characters, actors/actresses, bands, comic books, videogames (if you so choose!), random themes, etc. More information about overlapping, etc, will be in the subject claims post.

[+] timing. Following along the lines of icons100, you are given 10 weeks to complete your 100 icons, because 10 icons a week isn't TOO bad. If the time expires and you aren't done, you can either request an extension, or your claim will be freed up for someone else to use. Please post your first batch within two weeks of your claim so that things don't drag.

[+] content. Posting guidelines are here, but I'm going to write this twice just in case. If there is questionable ratings content in your post, please place the icons behind a cut, and warn clearly. I can't stress this enough - this comm needs to be work safe, so violations will be severely dealt with.

[+] new work. And of course, please make your icons new ones. This comm is for the purpose of stimulating creativity and producing new work for others to enjoy - there is no point in that if you dig out old icons and post them up here. And while textless icons are perfectly fine, a base with a border isn't. So please, also, put some effort into them.

[+] double posting. Tying into the previous, if you are a member of any other 100 icon challenge communities and have claimed the same subject at both, please do not post the same icons to both places. This may seem harsh, but it's something that has been thought about and discussed by both your friendly mods, and it wouldn't really be fair to claim two things, but make 100 icons and fulfill both claims. Not allowing this should discourage claim hogging between communities - on the other hand, if you do choose to claim the same subject twice (and make 200 icons!) then feel free to post the rest here as well, but mark clearly that they're for another community's challenge.

2. Join the community
3. Submit a claim
4. Wait for the claim to be approved - you will then be given posting access.
5. Start posting!
6. Comment at the Lunatics' Guild post to be inducted once you're done your 100!
