2. Before making a post of any kind on Morrissey Slash, members MUST read THE POSTING GUIDELINES.

3. The members of morrissey_slash participate on the understanding that whatever they post here is friends-locked and goes no further unless they wish it. You MUST NOT repost/quote another member's creative material, in full or in part, without their express permission, even for the purposes of reviewing. Nor must you re-post/quote any discussion or comment posted on this community; if someone gives you great feedback that you want to use to pimp your work when you post it elsewhere, please get the commenter's permission first.

OUR SLASH PHILOSOPHY

Well, we here at Morrissey Slash don't want to brag, but we're a slightly different kind of RPS slash site. We encourage experimental approaches to slash. That means we welcome WTF? pairings, and stories that feature elements of femslash, malepreg, original character work and even het, as long as it can somehow be tied into the larger universe of Morrissey slash and as long as you understand this IS still a slash community and what we're all most interested in is male/male pairings. What we're not interested in are your fangirl fantasies about reclaiming and marrying Morrissey, so please don't post those here. That aside, you can be as barmy as you want to be - as long as it's well-written, we're all the happier about it!

We also love slashy photos and photomanipulations. If your talents lie with photoshopping rather than writing, they’ll be equally welcome here.


DON'T LURK!

Since our writers really do try very hard to entertain us, we strongly encourage an atmosphere of (constructive) feedback, or, if you prefer, giddy squeeing. So if you are planning to join and then forever lurk without EITHER writing OR commenting, PLEASE DON'T BOTHER. Feedback not only encourages the hard-working writers - it also gives YOU a chance to tell them what YOU want to see and, in turn, gives them inspiration.


(Y)OUR WRITINGS

Your creative material (stories, poems, visuals) remain your copyright and intellectual property. You may withdraw them from the community at any time. But we hope you won't. :)

In Our Slash Library (i.e. Memories) you will find both series and stand-alone fics. If you click on the Memories button (i.e. the little heart) right now, you can see some of our categories and pairings, and, clicking on them, the titles of fics. (You just can't read the fics unless you join, neener-neener.) We love pushing the boundaries of slash, but we also love our traditional slash and pairings, and yes, there's a Moz/Marr category, with lots of top-quality writing.

Once you feel like you're ready for a walk on the wilder side, you might want to try our "porn opera," The Boy With the Thorn In His Side, which features, in addition to The Man Himself, an array of British pop stars and original characters all tangled up together in the AU (alternative universe) district of Slashcester. If you click on the upper-right-hand link once you've entered us (ooooh, matron!!), right under Our Slash Library, you'll find a link to it, with a Story Synopsis bringing you almost up to date. The series is almost as old as the comm, and will be coming to an end soon, amidst many tears and other body fluids, around Chapter 65. (Note: We at Morrissey Slash like to say "ooooh matron!" a lot, but you don't have to in order to be a member, and indeed we hope you won't, because we're trying to stop.)

We think we have an above-average quality of writing here (does it have to do with being Moz fans?) and we're not afraid to say so. But we're very encouraging of anyone writing - we just want to read your take on things, and we're generally very enthusiastic, even spazzy, people! Many of our best writers were slash-writing virgins when they started writing for us - so don't think you can't do it, because that's what we thought too. We think a slash comm is only as good as the number of new writers it can convince to give it a whirl.



IN SUMMARY

We here at Morrissey Slash reckon that we've produced some of the best fan fiction on the internet, and that makes us feel GREAT! WOO. HOO!! BUT more importantly, we've made friends here and had fun. And all of that is the tradition we want to keep up.
